Songdo, South Korea
I came across a dude on social media a few moments ago who presented ways to overcome reader objections.
Why would you do that?
Seriously; if a human being:
- criticizes your blog
- does not resonate with your work
- makes excuses
- disagrees with you
- disagrees with your school of thinking
- does not want what you have to offer
why would you waste time trying to force them to see things your way when 5, 50, 100 then 1,000 other human beings completely resonant with your blog await your meeting them?
Rabidly loyal fans are out there. Now it’s your job to:
- help them
- service them
- bond with them
to accelerate your blogging success while having fun helping people who actually want your help.
Trying to Overcome Reader Objections Wastes Your Time and Energy
Either you invest each blogging moment intelligently or not too intelligently.
Anyone who objects to any aspect of your blog does not want it. I mean this literally. This is why they object.
Attempting to force them to want what they do not want is trying to force a child to do something they wish not to do on a deeper, unconscious level. The objecting adult unconsciously resists your view; why waste time trying to change their thinking? It makes no sense to do this, especially when resonant people await your decision to meet and help them.
Help People Who Want What You Have to Offer through Your Blog
Help people who want your blogging help to use blogging time:
- intelligently
- effectively
- efficiently
Keep meeting new fans who want your:
- help
- blog posts
- online courses
- eBooks
because helping only those who want your help is the best way to become a successful blogger.
Forgive or look past everyone else to meet the next 5 future loyal blog readers who agree with your blogging perspective, crave your help and grow your blogging business.
Blogging Self-Sabotage Arises in a Thousand Ways
Spending time and energy attempting to overcome reader objections reveals blogging self-sabotage.
This indicates someone who shoots themselves in the foot by wasting time and energy on people who do not want their offering.
Why would you attempt to force someone to see things your way when millions of people out there see things your way?
Doesn’t it make sense to look past the non-resonant person to keep meeting new, resonant people who accelerate your blogging success?
Succeeding inside-out as a blogger goads one to honestly assess their:
- fears
- mental blocks
- self-sabotaging habits
- limiting beliefs
to face, feel and forgive these destructive mental patterns.
In essence, this process involves looking into the mirror to see that all blogging struggles begin and end in your mind.
Guilty as charged on this overcoming objections one, guys, for a while during my blogging career. I feared losing one non-resonant reader and attempted to convince them to stick around and agree with me versus letting them go to meet the new 20 like-minded, resonant readers who would follow my blog, buy my stuff and grow my referral traffic and business.
I finally asked myself:
“Why am I trying to sell Kobe beef to a vegan when millions of other carnivores are out there?”
Waiting for an honest answer guided me to let go non-resonant folks and any need to convince them to meet new, fresh, resonant readers who loved my content.
Design a Blogging System to Meet New Readers in Conveyor Belt Fashion
Create a blogging system to follow.
Attract like-minded, targeted readers to your blog in conveyor belt fashion.
When the odd non-resonant reader shows up – as they are wont to do – you will quickly look past them to like-minded readers who want your help. Not only that, more of these new, resonant readers will keep showing up based on you sticking to your blogging system, further accelerating your success. Plus it’ll feel fun to help appreciative people who want your help.
Practical Example of a Blogging System
I will share my current day blogging system but understand both my willingness to stop on a dime and change my blogging direction intuitively. This strategy is fluid and bound to change.
- volume publish blogging tips to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Facebook Groups and LinkedIn Groups via text-only updates, short-form videos, live broadcasts and links to my blog posts, online courses and eBooks
- reply to all notifications on social media
- publish one or more targeted, long-form posts each week to Blogging From Paradise
Doing these things genuinely, patiently and trustingly sends a slow but steady stream of bloggers who want my blogging tips to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.
Following this system is a lot of work, but worldly success and freedom depends on putting in a lot of work, for a long time.
I am busy enough helping bloggers who really want my help to look past non-resonant bloggers who do not really want my help, along with forgiving any urge to convince these non-resonant bloggers.
Why Does This Strategy Work Well?
Where your attention and energy goes, grows.
Give it to readers who want your help and more readers who want your help will show up to your blog to accelerate your blogging success.
Doesn’t that make sense?
More importantly, don’t you now clearly see that it makes no sense to try to convince anyone who doesn’t want your help, said desire coming up through their personal objections?
Let go one person who does not want your help to make room for 20 people who do want your help.
Get busy following your blogging system and these future fans can and will slowly trickle to your blog to appreciate your service and accelerate your blogging success as:
- loyal community members
- brand advocates
- referral business builders
Three of the most popular posts on Blogging From Paradise originated in the minds of like-minded guest bloggers. Each loved my blogging school of thinking, bonded with me and produced 3 highly-detailed, targeted posts which amplify our collective success on topics like affiliate marketing, building a loyal blogging community and Pinterest.
I never would have met these influential bloggers if I wasted serious chunks of time trying to convince critics to follow my blog.
Conclusion
Help readers who want it and watch how your collective resonance helps all like-minded people involved.
Give your attention and energy to current fans and keep meeting new fans by following your blogging system.
Look past non-resonant readers and any attempts to convince them.
Make blogging easier not tougher.
