I never claimed to teach blogging for the squeamish.
Blogging From Paradise does not shy away from necessary but uncomfortable inner work.
How can you succeed unless you look past failure conscious thought patterns?
How can you experience peace of mind unless you look past inner chaos?
Finding fear means searching for fear in your mind. Look to the origin. Check the source. You see the world and people in it through your personal prism. Everyone colors the world with private thoughts in their mind.
Sitting with this question to allow answers to unfold may feel uncomfortable as far as blogging applications.
Bloggers Tend to Use People for Personal Gain
Bloggers often try to use people for personal gains. For example, most bloggers guest post not to primarily offer genuinely valuable content but to use bloggers and their blogs for traffic and profits boosts. Even though most explain how seeking gain is perfectly normal it still does not change the fact that using bloggers for your gain is……using bloggers for your gain. The world – of the ego – does it in routine fashion. The explanation? It works!
However, shifting your intent to being truly helpful immediately changes the act. Versus blogging mainly to get traffic and profits you publish something to help a fellow blogger. Shifting this intent accelerates your blogging success because being generous and trusting mirrors generosity and trust back to you through targeted traffic and blogging profits. Give. Receive. Help. Get help. Empower people to succeed who empower you to succeed. Everything works beautifully for the mindful blogger who lives to serve. Never mind how this getting feels peaceful, seamless, being the by-product of your psychological detachment.
Sit with Discomfort
Being with the question feels too rough for most bloggers. People hate being honest with themselves. But being honest with self you must in order to become a generous, trusting blogger. How can you let go of hidden thought patterns? Hidden thought patterns dominate most blogging strategies. Root out the self-service to allow service to reign supreme. This is how it goes. Nobody outsmarts their unconscious mind because it is the shot caller of their experience.
I guest post holding an intent to share as many helpful links as possible through my blogging campaign, for fellow bloggers, for their readers and for our collective good. We all win if one intends to be truly helpful for all. I do not turn down:
but simply accept any worldly success – aka getting – as a natural, organic by-product of being genuinely helpful. Sow. Reap.
Living this blogging truth of sowing and reaping requires one to honestly admit trying to use fellow bloggers and readers for personal gain. One does not live truths by burying truths under lies. Everything is in your mind. Dig deeper into your mind to observe why your blogging experience unfolds as it does.
Eat a Shame Sandwich
For me, emotions like embarrassment and shame surface as I go through this process from time to time to purify my intent. Nobody enjoys feeling these emotions. This is why we shove those feelings deep down into our unconscious Minds. But you need to look at these feelings to be free of them. Reaching the light involves walking through the shadow. Experience love by facing, feeling and looking past fear in the mind.
Be truly helpful. Succeed online. Stop attempting to use people for your benefit. Instead, help people with no expectation of anything in return. Release pitches. Stop asking for favors. Help with an unconditional approach. Observe how your generosity buys you trust, builds blogging friendships and accelerates your blogging success freely. Being detached carries a magical effect with it, especially in a largely attached world of minds trying to use people for personal gain. After the use, the ego mind kills ’em off, going through relationships like paper towels in a pig pen.
Free Givers Rocket to the Top
Free givers reach the top of their blogging niche in a world of bloggers who use readers and bloggers as things to get traffic and profits. Each visit to my email inbox reveals how people intend to use me to get their links on my blog for their greater traffic, profit, exposure and credibility. Being accustomed to this silly attempt at using me and my platform, I check the delete button for all emails by default and pick a few legit emailers who want to help me versus the masses who try to use me and my blog.
I ignore users to disappear these folks from my existence. Make the block button your buddy on this one in more pressing cases. Some never seem to get the hint.
All of my blogging attention and energy goes toward folks who are being truly helpful. I want truly helpful people in my experience because I am truly helpful. I look at the mirror regularly to see who I am being to align with more folks who value my message.
I learned this skill by observing my mind throughout the blogging day. Consider being mentally vigilant today to see how you feel during interactions with human beings. Pay close attention to when people inevitably try to use you for their gain. This will most certainly happen as your exposure increases. Own the shadow as it arises to move on towards love and detachment.
Conclusion
Do not weasel out of this process because using people appears to “work”.
Trading blogging income for peace of mind blows up in your face sooner than later.
Let go the idea of a karmic boomerang returning to whack you in the head.
The unconscious guilt residing in your mind grows strong each time you use someone and kill ’em off in your mind.
Never mind the “enemies” one makes via their own hand with this foolish tactic.
Would you rather have fun and succeed with peace?
Or do you prefer to experience modest success with a continuous series of self-created nightmares?
You choose.
