I remember that a blogging course received 10,000 views before generating one sale:

A negative blogging voice repeatedly spoke in my mind.

The negative nelly repeated a few phrases persistently before the first sale:

  • “Nobody will ever buy it.”
  • “Nobody wants it.”
  • “You’re a fraud.”
  • “Analyze why no one buys it; something has to be wrong with it.”
  • “Set aside a few weeks to figure out what’s going wrong before doing anything else.”

These negative voices appeared to dominate my mind.

However, one loving voice also repeated these reassuring truths:

  • “This course will help bloggers if you will just keep promoting it.”
  • “Trust yourself, trust your course, trust your blogging skills and don’t give up.”

I listened more closely to the loving voice than the negative voice even though the negative voices seemed to dominate my mind.

After registering the first sale I felt like more could benefit from the course.

Customers of the course offered me positive feedback. Course students specifically pointed out a few practical tactics highly beneficial to their blogging campaigns and encouraged other bloggers to buy the course as a guide for accelerating their blogging success.

People loved it. But as most eventually discover, entrepreneurs almost always toil in the shadows for a while even if offering genuinely helpful products and services until the universe finally yields.

Phew.

I felt relieved.

Thank goodness I broke through with that first sale.

But experiencing a sale drought some 10,000 page views in length felt disheartening at times.

Challenging negative voices shouting in my dome felt particularly exhausting. Nothing feels as draining as moving forward when the bastard ego voice for fear tells you to quit at every turn.

Do you feel sick and tired of the same, old, negative voice repeating in your mind?

1: Face the Voice Head On

Look the voice directly in the eyes.

Outing it is the only way to get rid of it.

If you try to bury it, the negative voice hides but keeps repeating its sinister self-hypnosis sessions.

If you try to outwork it, you soon find out that it never tires….but you do.

Stare it directly in the eyes by listening closely to its chatter and accompanying emotions.

Do not trust it. But do not practice aversion towards it.

Look right at it to expose it.

Listen to the negative chatter to see it for what it is; negative chatter….not who you really are.

Using simple divine logic, if you can observe it, then it is not you.

2: Feel the Fear Fueling the Voice

Now we step into the genuinely deep inner work.

Face, embrace and feel the emotions fueling the voice.

Until you feel it, the feelings stick around. Until you embrace it, you resist it.

Grab a pillow. Let the feelings arise in your being. Feel anger, rage, hopelessness and shame. Feel embarrassment, sorrow, grief and guilt. Feel lesser emotions if the sensations arise.

Feeling fears fueling negative, egoic voices starves the voice of its only source of power.

Face, feel and release the fears to remove the life force from these negative forms of egoic chatter.

3: Forgive the Fear to Quiet the Voice

Forgiving means to look past or to pass by.

When the negative voice arises just forgive it in your mind to look past it. Proceed to tune into the loving voice.

Even after doing emotional clearing, the negative chatter arises from time to time. Look past it. Pass by it.

The emotions do not feel as strong now because you stepped into the heavy emotions already. However, if strong emotions surface again simply repeat steps 1-2 to listen closely and feel fully.

Typically, those heavy, deep emotions rarely persist if you step into each genuinely.

Forgive, forget and practice tuning in to the loving voice.

4: Practice Tuning in to the Loving Voice

Listen to your intuition.

Trust your gut.

Tune in to the loving voice of:

  • fun
  • passion
  • joy
  • being truly helpful

Every one has two voice in their head:

  • the ego
  • the intuition

Develop the skill of listening to your intuition. This voice promotes your blogging success because it guides for the best of all, directs you to be truly helpful and energizes you with playful guidance.

Spend time in quiet. Practice listening to it. Without fail, the intuition leads you to create, connect, to enjoy the blogging ride and to trust in the process.

As the voice for love strengthens the egoic voice for fear dies.

5: Help Targeted People Interested in Your Blogging Niche

Do not….and I repeat….do not skip to this step (yeah I’m talking to you, step skippers) or else the negative voice will replay again and again and again; quite quickly, you will quit this step and go into a failure loop that continues until you patiently repeat steps 1-4.

Since life is your mind being reflected back to you, first you change your mind before changing your feelings, actions and results. Almost all bloggers screw up by trying to change their results before changing their minds. 100% of the time, this crowd fails because they ignore the cause of their failure – their mindset – and get the same failure again and again. Most quit. A few decide to face the truth, do the mindset training and eventually succeed.

I am not super smart but also not a complete idiot; there’s a good reason why I devoted a full, 70 page, PDF guide eBook to creating the mindset of a successful blogger, folks. I tried to change at a level of results and struggled so much that I eventually faced the truth, trained my mind and things came together more seamlessly for me.

OK….now that we’ve trained our minds….begin helping highly targeted people interested in your blogging niche for free. Helping these people draws them to your blog which increases both quality traffic and profit potential.

When blogging success finds you, that negative voice shuts up faster than a portly youth at a cake shop.

Even when it starts up again, as loving, loyal readers flock to your blog, the loving voice gradually drowns it out.
