AI blogging continues to hit the ground running.

Social media dominates.

Hundreds of billions of dollars flow into AI.

Social media is…..well…..social media. X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Threads aren’t going anywhere.

Why in the heck would you blog?

I know your fear. I see your fear. Bloggers bring their AI-induced and social media driven fears to me routinely.

Each seems dominant.

SEO even seems a little dead. AI-generated results topping page 1 of Google scares the bejesus out of most bloggers.

But should it?

Why Bother with Blogging?

Blogging makes AI blogging and social media irrelevant.

Wait.

Excuse me?

Looks like someone strapped on their blogging balls today.

Blogging makes Google irrelevant too.

Blogging makes any website irrelevant.

How?

Blogging *abundantly with an eye on gaining wide exposure through content and blogging friendships* makes any one site – or even multiple – irrelevant.

Eventually, those sites surrender to your blog if you follow the strategy noted above.

Blogging becomes dominant if you build your blog intelligently for a long time.

Talk about turning the tables, eh?

Google and AI? No Worries

I Googled “blogging income claims” yesterday.

AI-generated content popped up at the top of page 1. My blog had been at page 1 position 1 for this phrase the prior decade.

AI-generated content pointed a backlink to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com at the top of page 1. AI-generated content mentioned Blogging From Paradise Dot Com at the top of page 1. Did AI blogging make me irrelevant? No. AI-generated content sent me a backlink. I never asked AI to do it; the AI did it for me passively.

Think it through; for all of the hub bub about AI, that AI snippet sent human Google users to my blog. 100% of human users who Google “blogging income claims” know Blogging From Paradise now after the artificial intelligence tip of the hat. Some perceive my blog to be an authority blog based on the AI shoutout. AI made my blog more relevant.

How does that hurt me?

I turned the tables on AI without ever trying to turn the tables on AI.

Human bloggers who follow the strategy above consistently make AI irrelevant.

As a side note, after chatting with my dad and a handful of other people, an increasing number of human beings completely ignore AI snippets on page 1 by scrolling down to the first human-generated article. Typically this is due to the inaccuracy of content which goads users to lose trust. My old man mentioned how reading some AI-generated, asinine statistics motivated him to permanently look past what he deemed to be less than credible.

Social Media?

After publishing this post it will:

  • beam to Feedlys around the globe
  • blast to X, Facebook, LinkedIn and Threads
  • be the new content that pops up along the 84,000 plus backlinks currently pointing to my blog

When I publish an update on X does it go to:

  • Feedlys around the globe?
  • Facebook, LinkedIn and Threads?
  • 84,000 backlinks?

No it does not.

I built my blog patiently to reach this point; that must be stressed.

Yet compare and contrast my blog and social media above.

Publish one blog post which instantly jumps into a vast sea of opportunities.

Or publish one social media update that typically gets lost in the sea of algorithms.

Do you understand why blogging is important?

You own your blog. You control it. You establish the algorithm. Heck; you can even influence AI to drop high quality backlinks to your blog. This is why blogging is far more critical than social media marketing or even Google. Calling the shots on a platform and building intelligently offers you all of the freedom in the world.

Important Points

I built my blog patiently for 11 years. None of these results happen overnight.

I create content consistently and build strong blogging friendships. Stingy bloggers disappear. No blog is an island.

Blogging is like a super-charged tool which requires full mastery to wield it effectively. The tool is useless on its own. Yet a highly skilled crafts person who practices diligently can work wonders with the tool.

AI blogging and social media do not yield anywhere near the same power because billionaires who DO NOT go by your name own, control and dominate those platforms for their own ends, primarily.

I do not blame them. They should go for it. Capitalism, right?

But I should go for MY BLOG and not pad their $billions$, should I? Capitalism, right?

Do you think the people who own those social media platforms desperately scramble for blogs to gain critical exposure? Of course not. The social media algorithm looks past links, penalizing users who attempt to send users offsite.

Make that another reason to motivate you to blog.

Use Social Media as a Branch

Your blog is the tree trunk.

The domain and hosting are the roots.

Social media, guest blogging and genuine blog commenting are branches.

Prune dying branches. Wave good-bye to those which died and dropped. Work the fresh ones.

But keep the roots strong (paying for your domain and hosting) and grow a granite-like, immovable trunk by publishing long form blog posts consistently to make your blog immovable when it comes to:

  • AI blogging
  • Google
  • X
  • Facebook
  • Threads
  • LinkedIn

Is This Post Arrogant?

No; it is called “confidence”.

Develop posture.

Believe in yourself.

Believe in your abilities.

Do the work.

Blog intelligently.

Never cower to the big money. Do what they do. Leverage everything to point traffic sources back to your blog.

Conclusion

Social media can vanish 5 minutes from now. 84,000 backlinks will still point to my blog.

AI blogging can appear to take over the world yet it will point backlinks to my blog; never mind how my loyal readers will follow Blogging From Paradise Dot Com versus the endlessly recycled pablum puked by AI blogging.

Make your blog relevant.

Release psychological attachment to traffic channels.

Use the channels.

But never forget where your bread is buttered.
