Imagine if I taught you how to be a prolific blogger.
But after following my blog for the past five years you only notice 20 posts on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.
*Do as I say not as I do*, correct?
Parents say it. Teachers may even say it. But it sure ain’t being the individual.
Being the blogger means doing as you teach. Or it means being the blogger you project yourself to be.
Basically guys, if you teach a strategy through your blog it makes sense to put that strategy into action consistently. Readers follow your example as closely as your teaching. Some ignore your teaching if the example deviates dramatically from the guidance.
“Be Prolific” He Says
I advise bloggers to be prolific via various offline sources. That’s what I teach. Scouring X, Facebook and LinkedIn proves that I walk my talk because I run 23 marketing channels for blogging tips bloggers through these sources. Tabulate 1000’s of updates disseminated along these channels. Generally speaking, most bloggers deem this a prolific tactic. I teach. I be.
I run a high volume of groups or communities through these channels that I created in addition to posting content via my profiles and pages.
Consider this a good example of being the blogger.
If you teach it you better be it.
If you blog about it then be about it.
Maintain Congruence
Being the blogger means being congruent. Aligning your thoughts with feelings and actions offers readers a glowing example of how to be in order to thrive.
In the beginning it is literally impossible to be the blogger as far as results because everyone starts at zero traffic and zero income. But everybody can begin to be prolific right now by leaving their comfort zone which positions you to be the blogger very quickly if that’s what you teach. Being prolific is fairly important, at least if you want to become a professional blogger.
Anyway, being the blogger rockets you outside of your comfort zone because most of us do not really want to be or become the blogger we say we do. Have you ever noticed how most bloggers run away from their fears? Did you spot the common pattern of most bloggers running away from obstacles to blame the world for their problems?
The mind says that it wants to succeed but shudders in terror at being the blogger who actually becomes successful. Consider following this process to be difficult but always doable. Frame this journey as being highly uncomfortable in moments but always possible and quite probable when you be the blogger diligently.
One current day example of being the blogger for me is ramping up my publishing schedule with this little blitz. I have no idea how long it will last. Hold me to nothing. Yet being the blogger intuitively guides me to get a bunch of content out there quickly to help you with practical strategies.
Being the blogger means publishing a steady volume of posts engineered to tackle your most pressing mindset problems concerning blogging. Notice the themes of these posts. Few bloggers discuss these topics. I even wrote and sell an eBook on the topic of creating the mindset of a successful blogger so I’m walking my talk for being the blogger by doing this.
You can do it too but you need to be it first.
I mean that blogging is between the ears.
Peep the Mental Process
First you think and feel thoughts which motivate you to take certain blogging actions. Being the blogger depends on taking certain blogging activities even as fears arise in your mind to hold you back from moving into action.
I harp about leaving your blogging comfort zone consistently for this very reason. No one becomes the blogger they want to be unless they be that blogger which always involves easing outside of your blogging comfort zone. Everything you want sits on the other side of your fears. Everything you do not really want sits inside of your blogging comfort zone.
Being the blogger never means faking it until you make it. Never take that route because it is fraudulent. Being the blogger always means being of greater service by leaving your comfort zone to be truly helpful in some way, shape or form.
Think of this concept as doing prep work in the shadows while your success gradually builds in public.
Everyone being the blogger works in private for a while. Nobody reads their blog while they are being the successful blogger yet to become a successful blogger.
But if you keep being that individual then people will slowly but surely show up to fan the flames under your blogging success.
Practice in Private to Shine in Public
Practice in private to shine in public.
Be the blogger before becoming the blogger for the general public.
This is always how the journey goes.
Nobody experiences blogging success unless they be that individual consistently for a while.
I remember hearing a high level blogger talk about publishing three long-form posts daily for a full year. Almost nobody read their blog during this period. The individual made a tiny amount of money.
But this dude continued being the blogger until becoming one of the most successful bloggers in the world.
This is why mind training is so important. You can’t trust the illusion of scarcity and ever hope to become highly successful.
Be the successful blogger within to become the successful blogger the external world gradually gets to know.
Put in the mindful blogging work of a successful blogger to succeed.
