The cool thing about blogging for 18 years is observing how much fear rules your blogging decisions.
Face the fear. Feel the fear. Look past the fear. Amplify your success peacefully by leaving fear in the dust. Do things from abundance not scarcity. Do things from gain not loss. This is a fun process for those willing to look within their minds consistently.
I have experienced success. I have experienced failure.
I have been guilty of letting scarcity rule then destroy my blog.
But I write posts like this to correct my error so you do not have to suffer as I did for vast stretches of my blogging career.
Scarcity is the idea of fear. Scarcity focuses on loss. Scarcity focuses on poverty. Basically guys, the idea of scarcity rules much mainstream blogging advice.
The scarcity idea is this; if you do not follow this strategy you will lose. In order to prevent this loss, do whatever you have to do to get something from others.
Is this mindset common? You bet it is. I subscribe to it sometimes. I even teach it sometimes. But this is because my mind is split. A split mind teaches confusing lessons at times.
Why do you want to avoid using scarcity tactics even if the strategies seem popular in the world?
Fear sucks.
Doing things from fear feels bad because you feel guilty doing things from fear. Why do you feel guilty? Scarcity tactics scare bloggers into manipulating others to give them stuff. Nobody feels good doing this even if traffic and income increase.
The world will say that scarcity tactics work. Who cares if you use people to get stuff from them? Who cares if you trick people with less than clear strategies? ”
As long as you get traffic and money then screw them” is the general consensus.
Unfortunately guys, screwing over others eventually screws you over too. Forget the traditional idea of karma for a moment. How about awareness?
The more you use fear to use people in order to get what you want the more aware you become of a backlash. Reputation loss. Being criticized. Being outed as a fraud. Making money, having the world worship at your cyber doorstep, then feeling awfully guilty about how you got to that space, even if your loyal fans are willing to look past the manipulation.
Like it or not, this garbage dances around in your unconscious mind if you blog from scarcity. Punishment awaits for your misdeeds. You used others, then down the road it will be their turn to get you!
Why do I publish posts like this if Google never ranks this stuff?
I blog for you not Google.
Far from being pristine as far as my integrity, I finally got clear on my audience. I write for you. I do not write for keywords. I do not write for an algorithm. I do not write to get anything from you, from email addresses to income. I write to help you.
If there ever is an abundant strategy, this is it.
Help people without trying to get anything from them.
Why is this abundant?
You lose the fear of loss.
You stop doing stuff based on the fear of loss.
You remove all those elements from your blog that you added from the fear of loss.
Now it is all gain, all the time because the help is the reward.
This feels good.
This feels really good.
You become confident enough with your renewed calm mind to know that your content drives organic traffic and blogging income without you interfering via the getting mechanism.
Practical Example
Anytime someone buys my ebooks or online course I know that my content sold the ebooks or online course.
I never ask anyone to buy my ebooks or online course. I never badger them to buy my stuff. I never manipulate them to buy my stuff. I never follow up 10 times asking if they bought my stuff.
This is abundance.
Give. Trust. Get.
I’m not afraid to lose anything so I don’t chase people to give me anything.
Before your brain explodes, there’s a simple emotional component to blogging from abundance.
You trust yourself to create the type of content that gets the job done as far as the bottom line.
Imagine the emotion you can cultivate right now.
Imagine trusting yourself and your content to drive organic traffic and blogging income.
The split second you try to even imagine that, scarcity fears trigger in your mind instantaneously. What if people don’t visit your blog? What if people don’t buy your stuff? What if you don’t ask them multiple times to buy your stuff? What if you don’t ask them for their email address?
Scarcity says you are forgettable because people don’t care about you.
Where did you learn that fear? Who taught you that fear? Did highly confident people teach you that fear? Did people who believe deeply in themselves teach you that fear?
Scarcity destroys blogs.
Fear is a destructive emotion.
Love builds.
Love increases organic traffic and blogging income because being truly helpful without a psychological attachment to any outcomes increases your skills, credibility and exposure.
Skilled, trustworthy bloggers in the right spots all over their niche drive organic traffic and blogging income.
But here’s the kicker; these individuals let their content drive business not a belief in scarcity that scares them into manipulating people to get stuff from them.
These full-time bloggers publish content on site and off site. These professionals engage in genuine blogger outreach to get connected. Organic success flows from these activities but only because of their abundance.
Blog from abundance not scarcity.
Not only will you love the results……the peace of mind ain’t half bad either.
