Bloggers succeed if readers perceive them to be credible.

Readers trust bloggers who solve specific problems suffered by said readers.

At Blogging From Paradise Dot Com, bloggers appreciate my practical blogging tips. I share solutions to common problems.

Most understand how this process works.

But I have an advanced blogging tip to solidify your credibility.

Do you want to take things up a few notches?

Look at everything on your blog as being fully representative of your blog.

Does that sound like an easy goal to reach?

Work through the concept.

Imagine if you only linked internally and externally to sites or blog posts 100% aligned with your values.

Picture if you valued each outbound link as you value your entire blog.

This is not easy for most to do. Why?

Do you value an outbound link as you value your blog? Typically you and I just see it as a backlink. Check the blog credibility. Scan alignment. If everything tracks you link to the site. We value the link but a sneaky voice in mind does not value one link as much as your full body of blogging work.

Does Google Adsense align 100% with your blog? Of course not because many ads served through the algorithm do not relate 100% to your blog. Never mind how businesses advertised through AdSense do not fully match your blogging values.

Bloggers using embed Adsense to make money money online. I see no problems with that. Everyone deserves to earn a living.

But never confuse making money with pure blog alignment. One motivator is for your bottom line. The other motivator is purely for your readers, your blog and your long term income.

First, you align everything.

Then you pick income channels in perfect line with your blog.

Doing something primarily to make money has nothing to do with establishing a pristine reputation.

Do Your Income Channels Align with Your Blog?

Can bloggers align with affiliate offerings? You bet they can.

Do most bloggers align affiliate offerings with their blogs?

I’m not sure if most align affiliate channels with reader needs. Some sell affiliate products mainly to make money for themselves. Reader needs become an afterthought.

Sorry to break it to you guys.

But we have to take things up one more level.

Every Element Represents Your Entire Blog

Professional bloggers with pristine reputations never sell out.

Top pros know this: every element on a blog represents your entire blog.

Every outbound link represents everything your blog is about.

Every internal link symbolizes your entire blog.

Every post is all of your posts.

I’m not kidding. I mean this literally.

The most credible pros never decide based on:

  • bills
  • income potential
  • perceived popularity

Pristine bloggers never sell out for any reason because pure alignment is the goal.

High level pros monetize with clarity. Income flows to full-time bloggers through purely aligned, carefully thought out, deliberately established income channels.

Readers deserve pure blog alignment. Readers deserve your integrity.

Is It Wrong to Do Stuff Partially for the Money?

No.

It’s not wrong to monetize your blog based on income potential.

I don’t think it’s right either.

It is what it is.

Opening income streams mainly to pay bills is OK but triggers discomfort.

But your pristine, flawless, elite blogging reputation based on pure service diminishes just a little bit. Readers sense the moment you do something for the money (your needs) not their needs. I see no problems with chasing paper a little bit. But you will feel somewhat guilty by doing this.

How do I know this?

I opened income channels not fully aligned with the Blogging From Paradise brand many moons ago.

I justified making money through a few different streams. Talk about a guilty conscious, eh?

But I eventually closed these channels because it didn’t feel right.

I chose to sell my online course and eBooks to maintain full monetizing alignment.

I feel good about it because I feel clear about it.

How Do You Reach This Point?

Think about every blog post. If someone judged your blog on one post – and people do – how do you feel about each post? Did you publish the most-detailed guide possible? Did you link to detailed resources?

How do you monetize your blog? Does every link fully represent your brand? Does each affiliate offering align with your values? Does every guest post capture your values? Do you fully endorse each guest blogger?

How do old blog posts make you feel? Embarrassed? Proud?

Do you need to update old blog posts? Is it time to delete old blog posts?

Exercise supreme quality control not from perfectionism but pure alignment.

Every backlink represents your blog.

Every product represents your blog.

Every post represents your blog.

Every page represents your blog.

Every image represents your blog.

Every blog comment that you approve represents your blog on some level.

Do Not Let Yourself Off the Hook

Believe it or not, following this guidance becomes easy if you never let yourself off of the hook.

I deleted a guest post over a decade ago because the blogger never replied to comments. He refused to do something that I always do. I trashed his post. He emailed me asking why I deleted his post. I did not reply for a few reasons. The first reason was obvious: I gave him his own medicine to prove a point. The second reason was even more obvious; if he researched my blog for 5 minutes he would know why I deleted his guest post.

Note; I take full responsibility for publishing his submission without thoroughly vetting the individual.

But I corrected my mistake by deleting the guest post.

Two guest posts remain on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com. I deeply respect both bloggers. Each pro published dazzling guest posts completely aligned with my brand. Both guest posts fully represent every element on my blog, from posts, to pages, to internal links to external links.

Each of my eBooks represents my 700 plus blog posts. Ditto for my online course, blog posts and pages.

Why Do I Sleep Well?

I make mistakes.

I project imperfection.

But I align every element on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com. At least I align all elements currently after making errors in the past.

Clear your blogging conscience.

Sleep well.

Feel good about your blog.

Get clear on your blog.

Each link represents all posts on your blog.

Each post represents your entire blog.

One seemingly little thing represents everything.

What Is the Biggest Benefit to Doing This?

Achieve elite quality control.

Every post becomes high quality.

Every link bleeds value.

Every page screams integrity.

Maintain granite-like credibility.

Credible bloggers drive trusting organic traffic seamlessly.

Blogging income follows high quality, organic blog traffic.

Get clear.

Be at peace.

Conclusion

Perceive every *thing* on your blog to represent everything on your blog.

Each element represents the whole.

Establish granite-like credibility.

Build a loyal community who values your integrity.

From there the sky is the limit.

Your Turn

Do you carefully vet all elements on your blog?

Or do you need to be more discerning?
