My blog has mirrored my life.
Blogs may be the ultimate tool for sharing your story. Self-hosted, WordPress blogs place no limits on your creative abilities. I literally can share virtually any aspect of my life – and often do – on Blogging From Paradise.
From videos, to podcasts, to articles, I have shared my blogging wins, losses and more travel stories than I even thought possible.
Gone are the social media shackles, restricting branding potential. Static websites may give you a medium through which to share your story but how can you effectively build a loyal, loving tribe, being limited in your ability to update and customize the site?
Blogging is a phenomenal way to share your life story in transparent, intimate fashion.
No better way exists for attracting your tribe.
Why?
Blogs give you a platform for sharing it all.
Literally, there are no limits to what you can share through blogging.
People Follow Trust
Folks follow trust. Blogs are trust-building tools.
People ultimately follow someone they know, like and trust. Bloggers seamlessly establish trust by being fully transparent, timely and by fostering a sense of community through an engaging blog comments section.
At the end of the day, allowing your story to unfold post after post, week after week, month after month, and year after year inspires people to delve more deeply into your blog, not unlike diving into a novel they simply cannot put down.
Blogging allows you to build trust because bloggers never need to hold back. Social media updates can be easily censored. Static sites cannot be updated or customized easily. Video sharing sites restrict branding potential and regularly censor videos.
Running a content-rich blog allows you to tell your story in your words with your style with no restrictions.
Bloggers stand out from the crowd based on their transparency.

Don’t you feel like you know me a little better after reading the blog post? Don’t you feel like you followed my travels after digesting the read? If my story – and style – resonates with you I bet you’re more likely to follow my travel blog posts and become a member of my tribe.
Although I usually publish blogging tips themed posts I do work personal stories into these posts. Why? People love stories. Readers want to get to know the guy behind the words on the blog. Before you trust the advice you better check the source.
Checking the source gets easy for readers who follow story tellers.
Telling stories through blogging is quite easy because you have multiple channels through which to paint a vivid story-picture, including:
- articles
- podcasts
- videos
Bloggers easily publish free and premium content geared toward telling stories, helping readers and building their tribe.
As a clear example, after being featured on high level blogs I explained in detail how to do it through this blogging course:

Tribes Enjoy the Multimedia Storytelling Approach
Some readers love my colorful tales shared through my blogging courses. Other readers prefer to listen to my podcasts. Yet other readers simply enjoy reading my blog posts while others prefer to watch my 1080 p videos from around the world.
Tribes love growing to know, like and trust bloggers who seamlessly share a multimedia storytelling approach, using text, video and podcasts to convey their experiences. This is why blogging beats trying to build tribes solely through podcasting or video marketing. Podcasters with no blog can only publish podcasts. Video marketers with no blog can only publish videos. Bloggers can publish stories through a seeming unlimited number of channels to appeal to a broader, more diverse, audience.
You Own the Narrative
I can pretty much publish whatever I want on Blogging From Paradise.
When it comes to story telling, I own the narrative. I can weave colorful tales. No one censors me.
I vividly recall being edited ruthlessly as a guest blogger for a mainstream blog with global popularity. The system did not appreciate me stressing for individuals to be free by taking full personal responsibility for their lives. The editor told me to remove that sentence. I appreciated the opportunity but stopped contributing to the blog because I could not trade my values for a high profile contributor account.
Most high profile bloggers trust me enough to give me creative license as a guest blogger but a few held me back due to branding, customizing and maintaining a clear blogging voice. I respect the branding clarity but let go these opportunities because I could not tell the stories I wished to tell in my voice.
But I tell whatever stories I want to on Blogging From Paradise.
Being unshackled by strong censors, the system or a matrix of fear in general lets me convey my genuine blogging story to you without watering down, filtering or any diluting.
This is why blogging is ahead of the game in story telling terms.
Social media site owners run their narrative. Video sharing site owners call the shots.
Bloggers who own their domain and hosting tell their stories in their own words through their own narrative.
Conclusion
Blog.
Tell your full story without sites censoring your content or strangling your branding potential.
Use multimedia to share your story through your blog to build a large, loyal, trusting tribe.
