Blogging suffers from a seemingly timeless mental pandemic.
Bloggers desperately look for shortcuts to quick traffic and money.
I spied a post recently sharing AI shortcuts to generate serious cash while doing it part-time. The problem with this approach is that the mind which is not AI plays a huge role in such processes. Even as an individual makes bold claims it is not a shortcut, even if marketed as one to generate easy traffic and easy income. The marketing becomes a quantum leap away from reality.
Every blogging shortcut leads you away from:
- organic trafficÂ
- blogging income
- freedom from time
- freedom from location
Taking shortcuts also shortcuts the work necessary to create:
- organic traffic
- blogging income
- freedom from time
- freedom from location
Look closely at what I am sharing above. Think about it. See the sense. Observe logic in action. Use reasoning. See the truth.
Imagine if I woke up today, shook off the cobwebs and spent the next 15 hours copying and pasting my online course and eBook links in as many spots as humanly possible. Doing so constitutes a shortcut; why not cut out the middle man of creating content? Plastering links to every spot under the sun sounds like a quick, easy shortcut to generating heavy blogging income.
Right?
Wrong?
Strategies like the above mentioned shortcut the trust-building process of creating and publishing practical, truly helpful, free content. Skipping content-creation skips the trust-building. Skipping the trust-building means a bunch of pissed off people annoyed by a stranger spamming their online course and eBook links either:
- ignore the spammerÂ
- block the spammer
Imagine losing 15 hours today to being ignored and blocked. Does that sound like achieving freedom from time and location? Or does it sound like binding yourself to time and location? Will you need to bind yourself to time and location for 15 hours tomorrow doing the same silly thing to receive super shitty returns? That is, if one person even trusts your spammy business pitches?
Taking shortcuts to blogging success shortcuts the success, too. Skipping success means little to no organic traffic and blogging income.
Yet as bizarre as it appears to be, no blogger who attempts to take shortcuts understands this truth; if they did understand this truth they would stop taking shortcuts.
Helping People with Free Content Is the Way to Freedom from Time and Location
How it works: publish free content consistently which gradually drives passive traffic and passive income.
Passive traffic and passive income free you from time and location. The “make money while you sleep, travel or do whatever” crowd experiences the benefits of *not* taking shortcuts for 1000’s of hours; wise bloggers invest those 1000’s of hours to create free, practical content which gradually does the work for them.
I said, “gradually”.
Be patient. Be consistent. Be confident. Resist any temptation to take shortcuts from this process because if you skip the work you skip the success and freedom that comes from creating content diligently.
Is It Even a Question?
I know what most bloggers say at this point:
“Creating content consistently is too difficult. Why waste your time with this nearly impossible task?”
NOT PRACTICING the process of creating content makes it difficult; it ain’t the content, it is your unwillingness to practice in moments of discomfort. Creating content is a freedom investment not a time loss. If you plan to be around for that stretch of time is it sane to waste it doing unintelligent stuff or to do smart stuff which offers you increasing success, freedom from time and freedom from location?
Smart Bloggers Develop their Emotional Intelligence
Smart bloggers who boast a high level of emotional intelligence practice doing mental gymnastics. See above. I engage regularly in this process because no one goes beyond fear until one becomes fearless through diligent mind training over a lifetime. Mind training is difficult at times but always possible. If the alternative is to be mindless, afraid and trapped, is it really a choice?
Look closely at the mindset exhibited by successful bloggers. Few explain their mindset in great detail, if at all. But observing an amateur who publishes a steady flow of detailed content for months without making a penny, never losing their supreme confidence, reveals one who possesses a high level of emotional intelligence. At the very least, this one conquered some money-related fears along their journey.
Bloggers with the confidence of pros while amateurs reveal exactly how it is done.
Pay exquisitely close attention to this rare lot.
Think how they think to join them.
How Can You Develop Your Emotional Intelligence?
Meditate.
Observe your mind in quiet.
Look at the contents of the mind:
- thoughts
- feelings
- day dreams
- imagining
- dreaming
Watch the mind contents float by like leaves on a river.
Practice.
Develop mental chops by meditating daily.

What Is the Closest Thing to Taking a Blogging Shortcut?
Doing mind training consistently is the closest thing to taking a blogging shortcut.
Observing how your thoughts and feelings – aka the fear-based ones – block success, freedom of time and freedom from location is literally enlightening.
Of course, you will still put in ample blogging work. But the work feels easier as you face, feel and look past your fears. As an added bonus, passive traffic and passive income build with your mind training and confident content creation campaign (and alliteration campaign).
Conclusion
Blogging shortcuts do not exist.
Create content diligently.
Earn trust.
Gain exposure for a targeted audience.
Experience success and freedom by taking the steps required to experience success and freedom
