What factor moves bloggers to the top of their respective niches?

Being mindful.

High level pros spot the details all other bloggers miss.

Any top blogger that I follow does the little things most bloggers don’t do.

The Blogging Big Dawgs lead for a good reason.

The Blogging Masses Asked Me This

I’ve been blogging since 2007, guys.

First on a few other blogs.

Since 2014 I have blogged exclusively at Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.

I get asked a steady volume of blogging questions.

Some from seasoned pros.

Some from beginners.

Some from the middle of the road bloggers.

I cannot count how many bloggers over the years asked me:

“Why do you publish long, detailed replies on social media? Why do you publish multiple threads to answer a simple question?”

Mindful bloggers rocket to the top of their niches.

In this case, the highly detailed, thorough, practical replies send social media users from:

  • X-Twitter
  • Facebook

to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.

That’s the end game.

I mindfully noticed how detailed replies increase views and organic blog traffic quickly. I slowed down to spot the pattern. That’s all.

At first, it seems difficult to understand in a world craving overnight blogging success why devoting 10 minutes to mindfully creating a thoughtful comment makes sense.

Why would you waste that time?

You do not waste the time.

You invest time to:

  • drive heavy organic impressions
  • send people from social media to your blog

From there, the rest is up to your blog.

Social media users need value through blogs. Otherwise these visitors bounce.

But prior to this event your detailed social media comments drive impressions. Impressed bloggers click through to your social media handles. Some click through to your blog.

That my blogging friends is how to drive blog traffic through social media.

Mindful Bloggers Dominate Niches

Mindful bloggers dominate niches.

Mindful bloggers rise to the top of blogging niches.

Being mindful is difficult. Spotting patterns is tough. But developing the skill of being mindful rockets you to the blogging stratosphere.

Why Did I Write this Post?

A highly skilled travel blogger who I follow and admire asked me why I wrote a response with three separate threads.

X gives me only a few words per thread. I cannot jam-pack a mindful, detailed, practical reply via one thread.

Here’s how I think: beyond me, the respected travel blogger and a few folks who follow us.

I visualize the 5,000 other bloggers hellbent on devouring blogging tips who *will* see the detailed, thorough, highly practical thread over the next 3-5 years on Twitter.

Is this being arrogant or posturing?

Is this being mindless and aimless or mindful and goal-oriented?

The rocking travel blogger also inferred how she did not know why this update from five years ago popped up in the stream.

I know why. 😉

I searched for “#bloggingtips” on X. X ranked her update #1 or near #1 that day. I’ve no clue in hell how X ranks her update today. This was a week ago. Things move fast on social media.

Yep; I checked again. The travel blogger embedded “#bloggingtips” into her content. X ranks this post from 2020 at number one today. She made a smart point about not adding dates to her permalink too although I initially misunderstood her point.

The misunderstanding was on me. She was clear. I missed her point. Being mindful could have goaded me to check her latest blog post to see that she dates posts. I said I am mindful not perfect.

40,000 Page Views and Gaining this Month

After the first three weeks of this month, Blogging From Paradise Dot Com generated 40,000 plus page views.

Being mindful wins again.

I noted a few blogging patterns:

  • publishing long form blog posts daily increased page views pronto
  • updating one blog post daily increases page views slowly but steadily
  • promoting the living stuffing out of old blog posts enhances page views exponentially

I noted each trend. I honor each trend.

In addition to these tactics, I optimize blog posts with clear titles, a link to my online course for sale and/or eBooks for sale and distribute content far and wide through multiple channels.

I do mindful work to boost page views.

Being mindful is challenging. Many try to rush the process minus established bloggers like the leader I mentioned. The lot is small. Yet this post reminds you to be mindful.

I write it for me and you.

I remind you. I remind myself. We both win.

One Effect of Being Mindfully-Oriented

I remember a blogger from years ago.

I dropped a mindful, detailed-oriented, genuine comment on a blog. I do this to drive organic traffic to the blog itself. User-generated content boosts traffic. Never mind increasing social proof and lowering the bounce rate. I also drive readers to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com by publishing beefy comments.

But the fellow blogger dropped a reply to my comment criticizing my approach. She did not appreciate my thoughtfulness because her ego spotted a different, untrue motive on my end. She had a problem with becoming successful. She did not like organic traffic. No worries, either way.

Yet it proves a clear point.

Less mindful bloggers struggling to drive organic traffic project their failure onto mindful bloggers who drive organic traffic simply because the ego hates what it fears to emulate.

Never let this seemingly “negative” side effect of mindfulness dissuade you.

Carry on, mindful bloggers.

Do the mindful work.

Add critical details.

Ship.

Publish.

Mindful bloggers sprint to the top of their niche.

Practical Tips for Being Mindful

  • meditate for 30 minutes daily
  • publish long form content to quiet your mind from the noise of a short and punchy blogging world
  • laser target one reader with each post not many
  • cover one niche to reduce multi-niche noise infecting your head
  • surround yourself with mindful bloggers
  • breathe deeply for 5-10 minutes a few times daily
  • create do not compete
  • practice being mindful by noticing the world around you
  • reinforce mindfulness by dropping detailed, genuine comments revealing how much you notice to empower anyone following the thread

The other day I noticed one Facebook post of mine generated 14,000 views.

I decided to do something different rather than mindlessly letting it die at 14 K views.

Someone asked a probing question. I mindfully replied with 3 paragraphs. She mindfully replied with a paragraph. I replied with a paragraph.

Guess what happened?

The content generated 6,000 more views. Now it sits at 20,000 views.

Being mindful gives content the exposure it deserves.

Being mindful drives organic blog traffic.

What have you got to lose?

Organic traffic?

Blogging income?

Be mindful.

Conclusion

Be mindful.

Note what most bloggers miss.

Dominate your blogging niche.
