How do you make money blogging?

Every experienced blogger gets asked this question during their careers.

Tons of “blogging money misinformation” litters the web. Bad advice geared toward gaining quick profits pollutes the minds of new bloggers and struggling bloggers alike.

Good monetizing advice seems few and far between.

Making matters challenging, algorithms seem to benefit bad blogging behavior in terms of making this gig look easy. Google, YouTube and other mainstream channels spit out helpful blogging tips but also misleading titles – and content – from time to time.

Does this confuse greedy new bloggers?

Hell yeah it does.

Does this delude confused new bloggers?

You betcha it does.

Since most humans – and bloggers – possess money limiting beliefs, resistance pops up the moment pros offer practical tips. Bloggers typically look past profit-building guidance to engage in failed blogging strategies. Being programmed to reject money matches money-losing blogging tactics.

I want to share four tips I use to increase my blogging profits. Shedding light on what I do gives you ideas to explore. More than what I do I want you to focus on how I think.

Most full-time bloggers I learned from follow the below tips closely. Pros think differently than most bloggers; that’s why these guys and gals go pro. Struggling bloggers usually look past the below tactics. #2 in particular is an absolute profit killer yet failing amateurs highly resist being generous and genuine with their content creation campaign. You make money by giving away free content for a while. No one goes pro by being stingy.

Note; these tips differ from common techniques like building a list and attempting to optimize profits by testing and tweaking that channel. The money is not in your list but in your mind. Money is an idea not a means of exchange sitting within a subscriber base. If the money were in the list then every blogger with an email list would be rich. This is not the case if you have not noticed.

I never grew much of a list and even at my list building peak I only had a few subs.

Since I created Blogging From Paradise I collected a scant number of subs but do fine by following these 4 tips.

1: Go Wide

Going wide means leveraging. I published a few posts to my blog today but leveraged aggressively by publishing a heavy volume of social media content to point bloggers to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.

Imagine trees limbs stretching far and wide, encompassing a portion of the forest.

Visualize your blog as the tree trunk and social media content as the branches and leaves. Hikers may or may not touch the trunk but definitely rub against branches or leaves in thick forests.

Readers will brush against social media content pointing ’em back to your blog.

Be a generous offsite content creator. Publish updates to:

  • X
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Threads
  • Blue Sky
  • YouTube

Leveraging increases your exposure and improves your skills. Skilled bloggers with great exposure make coin online.

2: Help More People for Free

Be generous across a few channels online.

I spent today:

  • publishing text-based content for social media
  • broadcasting live on social media
  • publishing short-form videos to social media

Each piece of free content serves as a profit seed. Profit seeds grow into trees over time. Massive collections of profit seeds grow into forests. Imagine the analogy from tip 1. Factor in a forest of wide trees.

Have you noticed how some bloggers seem to be everywhere in their niche? These pros increase their profits because you cannot escape trusted bloggers who generously serve readers through many channels.

Up the ante daily. Persistently help more folks for free through leveraging. Cater to people across multiple channels to make more money through your blog. Leave your blogging comfort zone on the regular to make it happen.

Stop patting yourself on the back and use that arm to lend a helping hand to a blogger who needs assistance or to a reader with a question.

3: Buy a Resource

Pros follow pro advice.

Pros pay for pro advice.

Look at professional sports; the best athletes invest significant money in coaching. Everyone has blind spots. Coaches point out these tender inner weaknesses for correction.

Premium resources offer you detailed guides for profiting.

Invest money in your blogging education.

Buy an online course. Purchase eBooks. Pay for coaching.

Get premium blog coaching to think, feel and act like a pro blogger.

I learned invaluable lessons from full-time bloggers through their premium resources. Blog post content only goes so far. But an eBook? Reading a full eBook covers specific topics in immense detail.

Blogging coaches tailor personalized solutions guaranteed to solve your pressing blogging problems.

High-powered bloggers invest money to get the best guidance out there; this is one reason why they are high-powered bloggers.

Boost your blogging income by paying for your blogging tuition.

4: Open Multiple Streams of Income

Bloggers usually learn a painful monetizing lesson: one income stream often fluctuates wildly until you gain serious skills.

Even if you are skilled, a single stream can vanish in a split second for many reasons. Algorithms wipe out blog traffic. Political shifts radically change social media sites. Laws change email rules dramatically.

Open multiple streams of income to safeguard against these instabilities.

Consider these ideas:

  • self-publish and sell eBooks
  • create and sell online courses
  • coach
  • consult
  • sell advertising space
  • sell sponsored posts
  • be a freelance writer
  • start a membership site
  • gate content

I read how a self-help icon opened 219 income streams. He made dollars through some channels and hundreds of thousands through other channels.

Do you fear opening two income streams? Think about the guy with 219 income channels. Embolden yourself to establish multiple streams of blogging income.

Summary

Follow these tips diligently.

Helping people for free and monetizing abundantly are two fundamentals of boosting blogging income.

Buy a resource to learn monetizing from pros.

Happy profiting.
