How Bloggers Benefit from AI

Relax.

I did not invest in artificial intelligence recently.

I still believe that writing posts is how to be authentic. Using artificial elements to recycle content is not cool.

The long tail phrase “blogging tips blogs” popped up on Google as I researched blog post ideas.

I saw this:

AI Blogging Blogging Tips Blogs

I have been notoriously hard on AI. Using artificial intelligence extensively is a bad idea. People want the human touch. Humans crave connection.

Bloggers benefit from AI beyond brainstorming and outlining blog posts.

Query any term on Google. Click on “AI Mode”. Look closely at the results. Note AI citations. AI references content sources.  This is how to benefit from AI. Get cited. AI needs to source content from somewhere. Be a source by publishing detailed content in one niche.

I Am on the Blogging Tips Fringe (According to Humans)

I have a confession to make. I did not rank within the top 50 blogging tips blogs online according to one service. Nor did I rank for a pre-AI Google search, minus a short stretch.

After you click the prior link you may shake your head. What am I doing listed alongside celebrities? I asked the same question. I’m fairly good at what I do. But I am not a mega star blogger.

Google removed me from any list of successful bloggers to follow before AI came to town.

Look at the screen share. AI harbors a different take on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com. Atta boy, Cyberdyne Systems. Let me give you a virtual biscuit.

The Irony of Artificial Intelligence Mode

For years I criticized AI usage.

I finally embraced one aspect of artificial intelligence.

At least in this case, AI is concerned with practical content not staggering metrics. Pre-AI Google based lists to follow on heady statistics. Blogging income factored in heavily. Tribe size also places top bloggers on these lists. I don’t blame the traditional algorithm or humans one bit. The world loves numbers. Truly helpful bloggers who accrue massive numbers are successful bloggers to follow as the world judges it.

AI does things differently. Artificial intelligence judges bloggers based on:

I could not be ranked #2 on the list above if stats mattered at all.

I am AI-ranked based on the depth, detail and topical authority of my content. I publish detailed blogging tips all the time on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com. AI “knows” this to rank me as one of the top blogging tips bloggers online.

AI Mode Leaves Clues

Far from being my lame attempt at backdoor bragging, you should be excited about this development.

AI finally did what humans could never do.

AI Mode judges blogs based on content alone not vanity metrics.

Isn’t that refreshing?

Teachers can be leaders. Statistical dynamos are not necessarily the best teachers although most fit the bill.

AI is moving in the right direction because the algorithm says:

“This is a top blog to follow based on its true helpfulness not outcomes.”

The world usually sees things upside-down. People are deemed successful if they get a lot not if they give a lot.

My blog is generally perceived to be a credible blogging tips resource by a small tribe. But my stats do not impress the world enough to secure a spot on a top list of bloggers. People are easily impressed by numbers. Artificial intelligence is not. AI cites quality and depth of content not results generated from content. The screen share above backs my theory. I know my numbers.

I think that’s good news for you.

Anyone can publish detailed blog posts consistently.

Anyone can snag AI citations consistently.

Blogging Is a Marathon Not a Sprint

Before you get too excited I have blogged consistently since 2014.

Anyone can snag AI citations but the workload required to get the job done is immense.

AI citations point to established resources based on a proven track record. Blogging From Paradise points to hundreds of long form blogging tips themed posts. I gave 10,000 plus hours of my life to publish this volume of thorough content.

Being consistent is difficult but doable. Take the marathon approach. Stop sprinting to generate short term big numbers. Think long term. Build a trusted blogging resource to benefit from AI.

I Have Experienced My Fair Share of Success Online

Before you envision a blogging version of Oliver Twist, I have experienced some success online over the years.

I generated healthy numbers for various stretches.

But I do not compare to top bloggers in statistical terms.

I do however cover blogging tips inside-out since 2014. This counts for something as far as generating AI citations. Humans and the good old Google algorithm see things differently.

Pay little attention to my spotlight. Pay plenty of attention to what publishing a steady volume of detailed blog posts on a single niche can do for your blog.

Bloggers benefit from AI by getting AI citations.

Move Your Attention from Using AI to Getting Ranked by AI

Create content that AI notices. Benefit from artificial intelligence not by taking shortcuts with an artificial agent but by putting in work to be referenced by AI.

The long way is the successful way. The detail-oriented way “impresses” AI to the point of landing coveted citations.

Benefit from gaining exposure via AI citations versus using it to take shortcuts.

If shortcuts worked every blogger who cut corners would have made millions. Shortcut takers are the ones airing grievances about Google wiping out their blogs.

Practical Tips

  • publish long form blog posts; aim for one weekly
  • share practical tips to step readers from common problems to beneficial solutions
  • link internally to establish a spider web of related content
  • build quality backlinks
  • take a long term approach to build a trusted niche resource

Build topical authority. This takes years. But if you plan to be around it is a wise investment not a debilitating sacrifice.

Conclusion

AI; you and me are buddies now.

Publish truly helpful content consistently.

Cover a single niche.

Benefit from AI citations.
