Blogging competition.
Google that one. I bet you see a few posts about running blogging competitions. Some page 1 content points to tactics for defeating the blogging comp as if a person can take something from you in a world of pure abundance.
It is weird…..but no one said that the world is sane.
Bloggers often fear “competitors” in their niche. Some feel anxious about being so far behind the comp. Imagine a blogger with a 50,000 subscriber list. Observing your piddly 15 subscribers could generate heavy mental distress. How will you ever catch up to your blogging competition? You have 15 subs. One niche blogger boasts 50,000 subs. How will you ever compete with them?
The negative mental chatter within your mind feels paralyzing at times.
But that is where it is: in your mind.
I don’t fear the blogging competition because I slowly experienced this truth. Everything is in the mind. Worry is in your mind. The concept of blogging comp is in your mind. You think, project then experience.
I stay in my blogging lane.
I help you with content. I serve blogging tips for you.
What other blogging tips bloggers do for their readers is their business.
Why worry about other people?
Why not help your specific readers and let them amplify your success?
What can you control? Every blogger can control their mind. All bloggers can control their thoughts. One such thought to control is worrying about other bloggers in your niche. Control that idea in your mind. Banish that concept. Stop doing what other bloggers do by choosing to control your thinking.
Controlling Your Mind Takes Practice
I practiced diligently to become aware of my thoughts concerning blogging tips bloggers.
Anxiety arose at times because some pros seemed to be light years ahead of my blog. From the blog layout, to readership to overall level of success, worry arose in my mind here and there.
I practiced:
- observing
- identifying
- forgiving or looking past
the worry in my mind thousands of times before the worry evaporated. As the worry dissolved I did not fear what other blogging tips bloggers did.
The fear of blogging competition went away because I developed the skill of controlling my thoughts.
You will take a similar journey by defeating your fear of other bloggers.
What Happened Next?
Instead of worrying about bloggers I promoted their blog posts on social media, dropped genuine comments on their blogs and even linked to some high level pros.
Some promoted my blog and endorsed me. Others bought my online course and eBooks.
I morphed worry into increased blogging success.
This is how it goes.
First, you train the mind to look past its worries. From there, you help bloggers in your niche to get connected. Blogging buddies amplify your reach to accelerate your blogging success.
Whom you feared helps you go pro.
Talk about turning the tables on the ego, eh?
You worried about someone by comparing yourself to them.
Looking past that fear in the mind made ’em your friend. Friends help each other succeed. Friends make the journey easier. Friends make the journey fun.
Why Do Few Bloggers Defeat the Fear of Blogging Competition?
Few human beings look into their mind as the source of experience because unconscious resistance scares them from doing so.
Worrying feels like a safe choice.
God forbid you look within to work with folks and amplify your collective success.
All of us harbor tremendous unconscious fear of other human beings. Look closely to see it play out in politics, government and the world at large. None of these folks are mindless idiots. Every one has a mind. Every one mentally chooses to be afraid of other people yet does so unconsciously, robotically and mindlessly, as if the other person is the source of fear.
All of us fear what we will find by looking within so we blame the outside world of externals for our lot.
But as someone who practices looking within……there is nothing there.
Fear is in the mind. But fear is an illusion. Fear is nothing. You feel the unpleasant energies for a few moments. The uncomfortable energies go away. Gone. Poof. A wisp of cloud. Bye-bye. Adios. Nothing.
This is why I said you needed to practice mind training consistently. No one ever enjoys a one-shot-deal. We harbor many fears to project upon the world. Worrying about other people is one such fear.
Look Inside
Look inside of your mind to spot the fear of bloggers from your niche.
Observe how common the fear of blogging competition is in a mindless world. Minds fear that some body will take their cheddah in a world of abundance. Does that make sense? Does it sound wise to build your blogging strategy on the terror of bloggers stealing your readers?
Look within your mind to face, feel and forgive the fear of blogging competition.
Stop worrying about the comp.
Work with them to amplify your success.
You Cannot Work with Everybody in Your Niche
Due to obvious time constraints, no blogger can work with everyone in their niche; that’s a whole lotta people.
In other cases, zero resonance means two bloggers see the world through different sets of eyes. Not everyone gets along on a level of form based on individual values.
I may see a successful blogging tips blogger who teaches far differently than I. Even though I admire their success we are not a match in terms of resonance. I would not confuse my readers by promoting their perhaps radically different teaching style, being an antithesis of the Blogging From Paradise Dot Com school of thought.
Never force blogging friendships. Do not pester bloggers via inbox. Do not desperately chase bloggers as a source of your success. Stop being thirsty. Cease being a blogging stalker.
Allow friendships to form organically.
Focus on the blogging system first and foremost.
Conclusion
Defeat the fear of blogging competition.
Conquer your mind.
Engage in mind training consistently.
Watch your thoughts. Practice. Face, feel and forgive worrying about bloggers in your niche.
Work with resonant bloggers.
Increase your collective success.
