Do You Blog with Honey or Vinegar?

Las Vegas Nevada

I saw a guy on the street today asking for money.

He seemed okay but overall he has been the only dude who projected an air of anger about his strategy.

He keeps asking everyone if they have a quarter or 100.

I found that amusing.

But then if they don’t give him money he tells everyone that they too could be homeless one day.

Full transparency; the dude is not lying. I get that. But without condemning the man, you could feel the anger and frustration projecting outward from the deep unconscious fears in his mind.

Fear Sphere

Something interesting happens with this man.  Almost every single human being steps far away from him as they walk by. I imagine an “anger circle” or “fear sphere” enveloping the man. He uses vinegar. People hate the taste of vinegar as a solo act. Do you drink a gallon of vinegar? Nope; vinegar tastes bitter, if not caustic. Fear is caustic too, you know. Use it to burn people and most sprint from you.

Carefully observing most homeless people here in Vegas, passerby skirt ’em peacefully because the majority of folks living on the street are gentle, kind souls who advertise their ask with a clear, compassionate sign.

The man is definitely in a tough spot but he’s using vinegar which scares people off because force negates, being fed by fear. He could use honey like the other people who seem to get more money from pedestrians. Love, kindness and warmth attracts us to each other.

Fear Separates But Love Joins

Fear separates people. Love joins people.

Do you use vinegar or honey for your blogging strategy? Do you try to separate idiots from their money? Or do you genuinely serve human beings with love to earn their credibility which leads to passive, peaceful blogging income?

Blogging strategies run the gamut from being downright aggressive to being completely passive, trusting and prospering. “DO THIS NOW OR ELSE!!!” is a rather aggressive strategy. Look closely at your blog. Do you employ this manipulative approach? If so, it is fear. No wonder why most readers run away with their tail tucked between their legs. Your aggressive fear of loss scares the shit out of them.

Chill.

Use honey.

People love honey.

People love being helped, then, get the eff out of the way to respect their free will.

Readers happy with your help and sense of detachment quickly buy your stuff, refer your stuff to like-minded folks and bolster your blogging business.

Everything is on you. Do you try to squeeze money or Facebook Likes or an email address out of everyone who comes to your blog via aggressive pop-up forms?

Or do you gently publish content which sets a beautiful process into motion, a domino effect of driving organic traffic, blogging income and referral blogging business from happy customers?

All Flows from the Mind

Everything happens in your mind first. Face your fears or you will be like the dude on the street with anger issues trying to get money with vinegar and scaring off the masses who want nothing to do with your fear.

Unfortunately in this world made by the ego, even if you are in a rough spot, you will always be punished by projecting fear onto the world. That’s why people couldn’t touch that guy with a 10-ft pole as they walked by. Everyone senses fear and anger in their mind and stays away. Fear repels.

But the gentle people with cute dogs and authentic smiles generate more cash because people see and feel the love and wish to join with them in some way or at least to help them in some way.

I recall one homeless dude strolling towards another, asking him about his dog. Turns out, the dog suffered from some sickness. I rarely carry cash but would have duked the guy a few bucks because he sat there calmly, peacefully and from a totally chill vibe, day after day. He invited me in with love.

What about your blog? Do you use fear to manipulate human beings? Good luck with that one. Most humans see right through your fear and stay away. Perhaps a few fools give in to your manipulation but become a can of worms by criticizing you down the road, not appreciating your manipulation.

Use Honey Not Vinegar

Use sugary sweet honey not caustic vinegar to lay a granite-like foundation for your blog.

Help people with detailed content for free. Publish long-form content consistently. Aim for 1000 to 1200 words per post.

Earn reader trust and business. Let them drive referral business to your blog by allowing them to brag about you and your premium offerings to like-minded people.

Allow those like-minded people to visit your blog and buy your stuff, bolstering your full-time blogging business.

Be Confident

Using honey requires confidence, posture and patience on your part. Overcoming fear while developing these qualities becomes uncomfortable in moments. But the alternative sucks. Fear repels human beings. Love joins human beings. You always choose.

Conclusion

I’m not ragging on the homeless guy. I am observing to teach you how to become a peaceful, successful blogger over the years.

Make no mistake about it; this is a long-term process. Building your blog into an asset that works for you around the clock takes great work and time.

But I see it as an investment in freedom from time and location versus losing time or sacrificing time.

Blog with honey.

Goad readers to return for their sweet fix.
