Believe it or not, “things” can help you on the blogging journey.
I did not say to rely solely on things.
But I do advise you not to rely exclusively on specific people for traffic and income; working a simple blogging system sends targeted people to your blog at the right time. Targeted people are the right people. The right people change from time to time for more reasons than we have time to list.
This is why I rely on systems not people.
Systems can be just about timeless.
People?
Not so much.
People come and go. Systems are dependable.
Blogging From Paradise and Systems Versus People
Some of my most loyal readers:
- died
- became angry critics
- left to pursue separate interests apart from our prior co-creations
This is why I rely on blogging systems to send me the right people at the perfect time.
People can and do change.
On the whole, a fundamental system of creating content and bonding with readers does not change much at all.
Fans Turned Critics
Before we begin, I love folks.
I really do.
I love former fans who morphed into rabid critics because I understand that the transition was in their mind and not about my:
- true helpfulness
- kindness
- love
- compassion
- genuine nature
Some loyal fans who loved my stuff for weeks, months or years stopped on a dime and began hating my stuff, deeming me a fraud and following me around to skewer me…..until I blocked profiles (Of course LOL).
Imagine if I depended on human beings who hated my work and perceived me to be a fraud? Where would that leave me? I’d be screwed, right? In reality, I have always been helpful and genuine. People who see me in any different light suffer a malady only within their minds. I did not change but unconscious guilt surfaced in their minds; hence projecting fear, pain and frustration onto me and my blog.
Deciding to follow a blogging system and to look past the mentally injured puts these pained individuals on a conveyor belt away from my blog. I looked past them. I forgave them for what they did not do. I let ’em go on to hopefully greener pastures for these individuals but that is their decision.
New, fresh, highly targeted readers keep finding my blog based on my decision to follow a basic blogging system of creating content and connecting with resonant readers.
How it looks; by consistently creating content and bonding with resonant readers I look past readers who lose resonance. I busy myself with publishing content and listening to readers who dig my stuff which amplifies organic traffic and blogging income. Traffic and income originates with interested people who find my blog based on me following a simple blogging system.
If a fan becomes a foe I just look past the foes to the fresh, new fans who keep showing up, as I tend to loyal, long-term fans who have supported my work for years.
The organic traffic and income is in the system not particular people who come and go.
The people who discover my blog, online course and eBooks via the system can and do change but that matters not because the system (me working it, that is) is the root cause of everything, not specific human beings.
Death Happens Too
A few of my loyal followers passed on.
Hey; it happens.
I can think of two women who followed my blog closely and bought my eBooks. Where would I be if I depended on someone who passed away to follow my blog and buy my eBooks? Do you understand why I follow systems and not ever-changing – and unfortunately, transitioning – human beings?
Changing Interests
I recall one awesome blogging buddy who reviewed one of my eBooks to give it a sugary sweet sales boost.
She subsequently stopped blogging to pursue other interests.
I’d be dead in the water if my eBook income hinged on her person.
But my system hums along quite nicely, thank you.
Why Write this Post?
Consistently, you and I get bombarded with the idea that all businesses are people-based.
I agree and disagree.
EVER CHANGING people fuel business growth. People who change their minds, lose interest and pass on make room for the right people to find your blog at the right time.
But this happens only if you depend on a blogging system not people for traffic and income.
I had to psychologically detach myself from you to best serve you and like-minded bloggers hungry for blogging tips.
I did not find that process comfortable. Guilt influenced a majority of my blogging decisions.
But gradually letting go specific people influenced me to follow a simple system which delivered the right people to my blog consistently.
People who most need my help, get it.
People who value my work show up.
Those who no longer:
- need my blogging help
- want my blogging help
wander off into the sunset.
I dig it.
I like this process because it is efficient.
People who want to be here, stick around.
People who want to leave, exit stage left.
Could it be any better?
I get to be truly helpful, you benefit and we all collectively succeed.
Conclusion
It is nothing personal.
I mean that literally.
I do not attach to ever-changing people but work a system to send the right people to my blog at the right time for both of us.
Focus on working systems.
Meet and help the right people.
Let go of people who move on to different ventures.
Help people who want your help.
Achieve freedom from time and location by following a proven blogging system.
You work the system which turns around to drive organic traffic and blogging income.
No need to be hunched over a laptop to speak to specific people at a set time.
No need to be perched over a phone to reply at particular times.
Work your system.
Enjoy freedom from time and location as the system increases organic traffic and passive income around the clock.
