Blogging inspiration?
Find it all around you.
We live in abundance.
Shortages do not exist save in a sleeping mind.
But you and I need to shake off mental cobwebs with practical strategies to wake the sleeping giant within.
I look to the sources below when stuck in a blogging slump.
Finding inspiration gets me back on the blogging track.
Do you need to find an extra blogging gear?
Everyone loses blogging mojo sometimes.
Finding inspiration to blog moves you forward.
I don’t care how long you’ve blogged. You lose motivation. I lose motivation.
Blogging inspiration offers you a “pick me up” to get back on course.
Where should you look?
Check out these five sources below.
1: Successful Bloggers
Pros prove one thing: amateur bloggers can go pro by following simple systems consistently.
Look to full-time bloggers for inspiration during down times. Study success; it leaves clues. Immerse yourself in the energy emitted by seasoned bloggers. Follow their guidance. Learn from their mindset. Develop an unstoppable streak by following the most persistent bloggers.
Professional bloggers offer a spark when you need it.
I remember struggling mightily as a beginner. Following pro bloggers inspired me to leave my comfort zone.
I observed possibilities instead of roadblocks. Successful bloggers nudged me in the proper direction through their shining example.
I also noted how pros do not complain about obstacles like struggling bloggers. Being in a pro blogger environment felt better than surrounding myself with struggling bloggers. The failing bloggers did the best they could but victimized themselves consistently. Hanging out with defeatist types felt deflating not inspiring.
Learn from the best. Follow pro bloggers closely. Remind yourself of where you’re headed. Stay motivated.
2: Failing Bloggers Who Persist
Twist!
Failing bloggers who stick with it through thick and thin inspire me.
Being inspired after becoming successful is not too difficult.
Being inspired before traffic arrives impresses me.
I respect anyone who holds their vision despite struggling.
I find inspiration from those who value the inner world over externals.
Look for inspiration from the few struggling bloggers who persist.
Almost every blogger quits.
A select few keep blogging no matter what.
If they can keep going you can keep going despite the blogging obstacles you face.
Important Point
Resist the urge to only surround yourself with struggling bloggers because it feels comfortable. I did it. You do it. We all do it during difficult blogging stretches. Familiar feels safe even if it also feels miserable.
Minus the outliers who grind it out, the struggling masses tend to drag you down.
No judgments.
I do call it how I see it, though.
Move out of struggling blogger circles in terms of mindset. Let go of bloggers who victimize themselves.
Keep empowered bloggers around.
3: Cumulative Statistics
Exhibit A.
Look below.
No; look way down this page at the end of the blog post.
I use a plug-in to record *cumulative* page views on Blogging From Paradise. I never forget the work I did yesterday, last year or 12 years ago the moment I published my first post.
Follow cumulative stats to find inspiration. Appreciate how well you’ve built a rock solid foundation for your blog.
Beware following micro stats. Blogging careers bounce around like a ping pong ball for 24 hour intervals. Your emotions follow suit.
Think long term.
Prioritize cumulative statistics.
Be motivated by observing your full body of blogging work, statistics-wise.
Cumulative numbers prove long term accomplishments.
I feel inspired to see how everything builds here on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.
Observing cumulative stats is like laying bricks for a mansion.
Insane builders rip down bricks every 24 hours.
Sane builders lay brick after brick until completing the mansion.
Think cumulatively.
Think sanely.
Practical Example
Last week my blog generated over 8,000 page views.
My recent post about AI generated a much lower number of page views than recent posts.
I see the:
- 8,000 page views from last week
- likely 16,000 plus page views I will generate for the prior 2 weeks when stats hit later today
not the lower views from a single post.
See the whole of your statistics to think about the big picture.
4: Legitimate Income Reports
Look to legitimate income reports for inspiration.
Seeing what’s possible inspires bloggers to leave their comfort zone.
I am not motivated by money. But I only monetized my first blog after scanning income reports from genuine bloggers who shared to empower.
Making money seems impossible in the beginning. Heart-centered pros prove otherwise.
Keep This Blogging Idea in Mind
Bonus tip: digesting income reports potentially triggers:
- jealousy
- anger
- frustration
projected onto fellow bloggers.
That’s a good thing.
Money is shy and retiring. Jealous, raging, frustrated bloggers scare off money.
Grateful, peaceful, serene bloggers who celebrate other’s wins cultivate an abundance mindset to follow successful strategies consistently.
Face, feel and look past negative emotions triggered on perusing income reports.
Admire success to succeed.
5: Critics
Never use critics to prove yourself right. Be careful about trying to prove them wrong. Blog from the penthouse not the pigsty.
Attempting to prove your rightness and their wrongness proves your weakness.
Critics press on tender inner weaknesses like crippling self doubt. Never grovel in the mud with unclear folks.
Frame facing critics as a sign: you are doing something significant.
Slamming into criticism proves you are on the right track. Take it as good news not bad luck.
What happens when you pop up on the radar screen? Critics show up.
You and I live in duality.
Accept the sour with the sweet.
Every successful blogger learns how to look past critics.
You are on the right track if someone lobs a biting barb your way.
Face, embrace and look past critics.
Accept not their feedback but a fragile state of mind.
Scared people criticize.
Confident people don’t.
Develop compassion for critics but move on from these individuals.
Stop trying to prove your worth to those who cannot possibly see it.
Focus on your fans.
Follow the love.
Conclusion
Inspiration is out there.
Look for it.
Find motivation.
Keep blogging.
Keep going.
