More blog content is not the answer.

More detailed blog content may be the answer.

Forget the quality versus quantity debate.

No debate exists.

Quality content published frequently over a sustained length of time forms a high quantity of detailed, long-form blog posts.

Imagine publishing quality content at a quantity clip in a world of bloggers debating each?

Talk about stepping ahead of the blogging herd, eh?

Blog Content Is Your Best Friend

Like it or not (for all blogging purists), blog content is your best friend.

Publish long-form, targeted blog posts frequently to position yourself to succeed.

Solve reader problems with content. Write long-form blog posts. Create blog content mindfully. Target by listening closely to readers. Or listen closely to top bloggers in your niche if readers currently seem to miss your blog. No worries; readers will show up if you follow topics published by established bloggers from your niche. Top pros place their finger on the cyber pulse of your blogging sector.

Blog content makes your business go. Readers follow prolific bloggers for their detailed, targeted, thorough blog posts.

Publishing content at a rapid clip demands bloggers to sprint outside of their comfort zone on a regular basis. Doing this challenges even seasoned veterans. Few prefer to leave comfortable blogging climates even if success unfolds outside of comfy cozy blogging confines.

However, exit the blogging comfort zone we must in order to thrive.

Observe Your Blog

How many blog posts do you see?

Can you increase publishing frequency even a little bit?

Never lose yourself in the blog post numbers game. But never take your foot off of the blogging pedal, either. Low quality content published at a heavy clip never hits the mark. But a few high quality posts rarely if ever forms a rock solid foundation for a thriving blogging business. Way too many bloggers publish a hefty volume of long-form, targeted content over the long haul. How will your 10 thorough resources outclass their 500 to 700 thorough resources published over many years? See what I mean?

Look closely at your blog. Can you publish detailed posts more frequently than your current publishing schedule?

Sitting down to write and publish this post put my blogging money where my mouth is; if I chose to cover this post topic at least I can follow my advice.

I decided to publish two posts today to take my own medicine. Scheduling posts for 10 days – as of now – also keeps my best blogging buddy close by.

Note; blog posts are my best blogging buddy and your best blogging buddy, too. Never forget this.

What About Blogger Outreach?

Blogger outreach plays a role in going pro.

Make friends offsite. Comment genuinely on blogs within your niche. Guest post on blogs within your niche.

Promote fellow bloggers on your blog and through social media. Be genuine to build relationships.

Square away your offsite game.

But always make publishing long-form, detailed blog posts your priority. Never stray from this objective or you will watch other bloggers run laps around you.

My Blogging Mistake

I recently covered this blogging mistake in minute detail.

Paying close attention to this authority blog with its rich collection of posts woke me up; I placed 1200 posts there over many years which vanished into thin air in a split second.

Now is the time to publish 1200 or more detailed, thorough posts on Blogging From Paradise over the long haul. No; publishing this content is no numbers game to play, per se. No one pays me or my fellow blogger based on the volume of posts we publish to our blogs.

But since blog content is my best friend why in the heck would I leave my best friend primarily on blogs that I do not own? I am no competitive-minded blogger. Nor do I mindfully go against anyone. This is a simple business decision to best benefit you Blogging From Paradise readers and me, the owner and creator of Blogging From Paradise.

I learned from my blogging mistake. The best work remains here.

Consider my error and correction along with this post topic to better understand the relationship between blog posts and your overall blogging strategy.

Paying Big Bucks for Big Content

First off; you and I are individual bloggers.

Neither owns a Buzzfeed type site although you may walk that path down the road depending on your vision and willingness to hustle.

However, relaying this example underscores the value of blog content on a monetary level.

I became a huge fan of the show “Succession”.

The owners of the world’s biggest media and entertainment company paid tens of millions of dollars for a Buzzfeed type website. Why? The buyers mentioned one word: content.

Again guys; you and I do not publish 50 to 100 or more posts daily. Do not expect to rake in the $315 million that AOL paid for the Huffington Post in 2011 just right now. Ariana money may or may not be in your future.

But in the spirit of this message, big business pays big money for simple content.

If you decide to sell the blog one day your blog posts partially determine the asking price.

If you decide to keep your blog, posts drive targeted, quality, passive blog traffic to your blogging courses, blogging eBooks, advertisements and services.

Once again guys, blog content is your best friend.

Up the Bar

Up the blogging bar a little bit.

Never sprint before you can crawl. Avoid falling flat on your face. Take your time. Patiently publish long-form posts targeted for your ideal reader. Lay a strong blogging foundation based on targeting your community.

But mindfully edge a wee bit outside of your content creation comfort zone today. Did you just publish a blog post? Give yourself 30 minutes to brainstorm and begin writing your next blog post today. Create a conveyor belt of blog post ideas.

Of course bloggers need to promote new blog posts, engage in outreach and monetize effectively. Plus, you want to have a life away from the laptop.

But setting aside just 30 minutes to brainstorm and begin writing the next post ups the ante a little bit.

Conclusion

Blog abundantly.

Become prolific.

Never forget your best blogging friend.
