Blogging From Paradise ranked at position 1 on Google for a keyword coveted by a $1 billion market cap company sporting 10,000 employees.
That is the power of content.
A guy in gym clothes who patiently developed his blogging skills and built his network over the years published content outranking a billion dollar company with 10,000 employees.
As of this date, Blogging From Paradise boasts backlinks from Forbes, Entrepreneur and Neil Patel Dot Com.
That is the power of content.
But why do most bloggers overlook the power of content?
What do they miss?
Why do they look past content as a critical aspect for leveling the playing field between themselves and any entity flashing an online presence?
Limiting beliefs in the mind blind these individuals to the power of content.
Some of the greatest hits include:
- “Nobody will read my blog anyway.”
- “Who am I to create content? What makes me qualified to help people?”
- “If I publish content people will out me as a fraud.”
- “Content is worthless now that AI blogging has taken over.”
- “Nobody reads blogs these days.”
- “Blogging is too hard.”
- “Blogging is too difficult.”
- “You need to be really gifted, talented or blessed to create helpful content; I’ve none of those qualities.”
But I can prove that each limiting belief is untrue:
- Sure people will read your blog if you practice creating onsite and offsite content to become skilled, credible and follow-worthy.
- Like every blogger or content creator, you practice creating content first to then build a name and following.
- Some readers may deem you as being fraudulent while most will not, as long as you practice writing and remain genuine in all that you do; welcome to living outside of a cave on planet earth.
- Human blogging is as important as ever to gain credibility from humans, to prove that your blog is not puked out by mindless AI and to accelerate your success.
- People still read so people will still read blogs.
- Blogging feels uncomfortable at times but becomes easier if you only follow advice from pro bloggers closely.
- Blogging feels uncomfortable at times but becomes easier if you only follow advice from pro bloggers closely. (Repeat question repeat answer)
- Gifts, talents and blessings arrive AFTER creating content for a while, not before.
Negative voices in your head tell you that content is worthless.
Skilled bloggers know that creating detailed content frequently opens doors that you’d never have imagined.
I have lived a cool life of circling the globe mainly through creating content. A contributor from a blog run by Richard Branson interviewed me via my content. I guest posted on a blog with fellow contributors being Seth Godin, Mark Cuban and Jack Canfield, through my content.
Human beings read Blogging From Paradise or my offsite content, deemed me as being credible based on my content and opened unforeseen doors for me.
But you need to see and appreciate the power of content and you need to look past the pathetic voice in your mind warning you about the pointless nature of content.
What Is the Content Secret?
You, the blogger, through your practice and skills development, determine the power of your content.
Any blogger can barely practice, mail it in and write a low quality post.
Few bloggers write like hell, commit 100% and publish powerful, high quality posts guaranteed to drive quality traffic, blogging income and a wide range of prospering opportunities for spreading the blogging word.
Wise bloggers practice writing to master their craft. Sage bloggers know this secret well. I lead off this post explaining how a guy in gym clothes outranked a billion dollar company for a cherished key phrase of theirs. If you cannot see the value and power in practicing like the dickens to mastering your content craft after ruminating over that idea, I have no clue in hell what else will convince you to write your rump off.
Doesn’t it seem worth it to practice writing to the point of being an individual who outranks a billion dollar company? You can do what a fancy, well-paid marketing department and a 6 figure advertising budget cannot do. But like me, you need to practice writing and creating content for 1000’s upon 1000’s of hours to become skilled, seen and credible enough to knock the million and billion dollar businesses off of their seeming thrones, for various keywords.
Do you see why blogging is between the ears?
I’m talking about outranking billion dollar companies with content while most bloggers deem content as being basically worthless, value-less and just the rambling thoughts of someone who nobody cares about.
The difference is mindset.
One Important Point
Practicing your writing is not enough to tap into the true power of content.
Specializing effectively puts you over the top.
I ranked at position 1 over the billion market cap company because Google framed my blog as a blogging tips authority for that keyword. Specializing makes you a go-to guy or gal in your single blogging niche.
A jack of all trades masters none. Attempting to cover multiple blogging niches dilutes your effectiveness because dividing your attention and energy between niches lessens your credibility.
For example, imagine hiring a lawyer who also washed dishes at a greasy spoon, walked dogs, ran a daycare center and scrubbed toilets at the local high school. Would you trust that lawyer to win your case? Nope. Why not? Dividing your energy between many ventures makes you a jack of all trades and master of none.
Content flowing from a blogger who masters one niche adds authority to the work. This is why choosing only one blogging niche to cover puts the whole process into motion. You and I trust specialists, typically, and distrust generalists.
Practice to Observe the Power of Content
Write your next blog post.
Broadcast live.
Guest post.
Publish a thorough update for Facebook.
Create content. Practice. Mastery comes from practicing diligently, day after day, over the years.
Content levels the blogging playing field but only for patient creators who practice their craft carefully over the years. Put in the time and work to enjoy the immense power of publishing detailed, targeted content frequently.
I forgot to mention; the more content you publish, the better your chances of creating powerful, credible work. Never try to force one post to go viral. No one has the foresight or skills to create viral content on demand because no blogger has intimate knowledge of algorithms.
But patient bloggers who publish a heavy volume of detailed, targeted content gain the skills, credibility and exposure to ship dazzling content on the regular.
Blog with an abundance mentality.
Keep the helpful content coming.
