In an increasingly AI-driven world is blogging still popular?

Why would you bother with blogging?

I hear that successful bloggers rely on AI to thrive. At least the word through the blogging grapevine says it is so.

What do I say?

Blogging is still popular because human beings still read words. Do adults teach kids how to read words? Since people do teach kids how to read words then blogging is popular and will be popular going forward.

But if humans eventually teach kids to exclusively:

  • mind speak
  • relay message via carrier pigeon
  • learn through videos
  • learn through podcasts

blogging becomes dead. Muerto. Over. Finito. Blogging cannot be popular the moment younger and older generations cease to use the written word as a prime communication medium.

Until this world becomes reality, blogging is alive, well and as relevant as ever.

Never underestimate the popularity of blogging.

Do so at your own online business peril.

What About Successful Bloggers Using AI?

Some claim how the most successful bloggers use AI extensively.

I call bullshit on that one.

Sorry.

Like some AI-induced observations, the claim is not true.

Some successful bloggers use AI to augment strategies. Think placing a bandage on a temporary boo-boo. Healing unfolds but you throw away the band-aid after it gets all funky-smelling. Yuck. This is how some pros use artificial intelligence. Depending heavily on artificial agents? That’d be foolish. Pro bloggers did not become pro bloggers by being foolish. Most are pretty darn smart.

Other successful bloggers never use AI because the dependable answers are in the mind not tools. People use tools to communicate the message but the message is not the tool. Whether you use one tool or the other is your call. I do not use AI because I brainstorm, set up outlines and do other basic tasks successfully through my mind. Other bloggers benefit from using AI to stimulate the imagination.

Whatever floats your blogging boat.

Why Is Blogging Still Popular?

I have blogged for 18 years.

I have seen apparent booms and busts.

18 blogging years is like 100 offline years. Picture the “dog years” deal. Things move fast online.

Based on my significant experience, I confidently say that this gig will be around for a while. If anything, blogging is as important as ever. When most look for the shortcut (heavy AI usage) the wise few who do thorough work rocket to the top of the niche. I have seen this happen often during my blogging career. The method of shortcut changes but greed, desperation and delusion never do.

Humans want humans to create reliable content based on human experiences. Enter human bloggers.

I want to know that a person vetted the advice offered through personal experiences. So do the dozens of bloggers who join my Facebook Groups for bloggers each week. So do my readers. Ditto for readers who follow genuine blogging pros. People want a person to offer guidance based on the human condition. Artificial intelligence cannot relay guidance based on the human condition. That’s the fundamental flaw with AI blogging. This is also why blogging will become increasingly popular as we proceed.

Far more people turn to blogs for dependable answers than you currently realize. I keep my finger on the cyber pulse. I follow the blogging tips niche closely; it’s my business, after all.

Bloggers:

  • join my Facebook Groups
  • join my LinkedIn Groups
  • follow me on X
  • follow me on Blue Sky
  • pitch me via gmail trying to get backlinks on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com
  • engage me via the social networks above and LinkedIn
  • publish helpful content to the social networks above and LinkedIn

Every time I open LinkedIn I see another human blogger relaying first person experiences through their blog. Kudos on the strong LinkedIn algorithm. Clearly the folks on LI know that I want blogging tips.

Blogging is popular because wise people see opportunities amid an illusory crisis.

Panicked bloggers fear that AI wiped out blogging.

Wise bloggers seize the opportunity to distance themselves from chaos by offering reliable content through a self-hosted WordPress Dot Org blog.

AI Induced Fatigue

Some AI results on page 1 of Google are questionable at best.

At worst, some output is laughable.

AI seems reliable until output becomes wildly inaccurate.

Human bloggers make errors too. But at least humans do not need an upgrade to correct themselves. Perhaps AI will be able to correct itself instantly one day. People currently adjust the sails easily compared to AI; another reason why blogging is a credible means for offering accurate guidance.

AI screws up even as the movement frames artificial intelligence as being an easy way to get the job done.

People are getting sick of a seemingly trusted artificial thingee that does NOT always get the job done.

Never mind how frustrating it feels to interact with AI when employing an actual human being would be the smart choice for your business.

That’s the AI-induced fatigue I’m talking about.

Blogging Is As Trusted as Ever

How about this blogging perspective?

Flip the script.

Stop asking if blogging is still popular with the whole AI thing happening now.

Is blogging trusted now?

Does running a blog with content only written by humans build greater authority than AI-generated content?

Answer that question genuinely.

Human bloggers are clearly light years ahead of AI-generated content because AI does not technically exist. Humans do exist. People experience life. People relay experiences to people via blogging to establish a strong emotional connection. The trust factoring into this process cannot be measured. Where does the stratosphere end? Start there.

Artificial intelligence re-arranges words created by humans. This is not highly trustworthy at all. Some deem it to be unethical. Others believe it to be immoral. Maybe the content appears to be accurate. But who knows? What combinations does the AI put together?

Now we wade into murkier AI-content waters.

As the iterations cycle, AI grabs AI-generated content then attempts to repackage it into some semblance of trustworthy content levels removed from human reality. Would you trust that content? Would you trust that content over blog posts written by a human being based on their personal experience?

This is why human bloggers flock to:

  • my blog
  • my social media handles
  • my gmail inbox

slowly but surely.

I since trashed the plug-in because it served its temporary purpose but for the prior month Blogging From Paradise generated 50,000 page views. I only needed to see that. Thank you, plug-in.

My Young Blogging Padawans hellbent on seeing tangible proof to back up keen observations…..there ya go.

Conclusion

Blogging is popular.

Blogging will be more popular as AI-induced fatigue sets in.

Begin blogging now.

Position yourself to earn freedom from time and location.

Yes blogging is still alive and well, even if AI killed a lot of Google traffic… My blog post from Ceuta has gone crazy in the last 2 days, people frantically using Google to find out where the hell Ceuta is.

My blog provides the answer. I don’t post thoughts and theories. Just facts. seems like my blog still has a lot of HC on it!!! plus heaps of 1st person, raw travel stories…. people still love a good read. ai provides easy answers to the Qs being asked.

      Blog content wins.

You published the post a while back. Now world events dictate that people Google Ceuta. Now people Google:

      “Where is Ceuta?”

and on my end your blog post ranks up there with the biggest media outlets on earth. Reuters, BBC, etc.

But your blog actually lists fascinating facts concerning the place not highly topical content here one news cycle and gone the next.

Interested to see how this grows.

You never know where the traffic is going to come from based on world events. Especially for travel bloggers.

Great article! Blogging continues to be a valuable way to share knowledge, build authority, and attract organic traffic. Quality content will always have long-term value.

I agree with you Sagar. I see immense potential with blogging going forward. Rather than worry about AI and blogging I feel human bloggers easily distance themselves from AI-induced chaos.
