I bet you something; you are waiting to become a successful blogger.

Waiting for money to buy your domain and hosting.

Waiting for someone to find your blog.

Waiting for blog post ideas to magically knock on the door of your mind.

I waited for a while too.

I waited to build a big email list before I would succeed. Newsflash; that never happened.

I also waited for big Google traffic to flood my blog. I can assure you this never happened either.

Gradually seeing the “blogging waiting game” dance around in my mind revealed something fascinating.

I chose to delay. I chose to wait. Nothing external stopped me. I mentally attached to a big list, heavy Google traffic and a few other conditional externals as alleged sources of sweet blogging success.

Guess what?

Since I psychologically attached to the externals I chose to detach mentally from the conditions. How else could I stop playing the “blogging waiting game”? I had to let go what appeared to cause the delay to stop waiting around for success to find me.

Grab the Blogging Bull by the Horns

Transparency alert; I wrote this post to walk my blogging talk.

I published one post earlier today. Why would I wait around to write and publish this post if the idea sat on the tip of my blogging tongue?

There is no time like now. All occurs in the present. Time seems real but it is an illusion.

I grabbed the blogging bull by the horns to write and publish this post ASAP. Hurrying is not the answer. Rushing is not the solution. Mindlessly charging forward opens an endless blogging can of worms. But now is the time to blog confidently. Now is the time to stop waiting for permission. Now is the time to move forward even if resistance arises along the way.

Prepare for Resistance

The moment you stop waiting and take blogging action you may face resistance. Strike that; you will face resistance.

Obstacles inevitably arise since leaving your comfort zone triggers various fears long buried in the mind.

For example, ramping up your publishing schedule typically sends some subscribers packing. Why? The individual preferences vary yet for you, being more successful involves shedding those comfortable with a less successful version of you. Or more accurately, the appearance of loss pops up for your mind training to look past.

I persistently had to:

  • face
  • feel
  • look past

a wicked form of resistance in my mind.

I feared that the more I helped readers with content the more readers I’d lose.

Sure enough, increasing my publishing schedule initially created a readership drop because I had to face, feel and look past the, “See! I told you that being truly helpful would hurt you!”, poverty-based voice in my mind.

The voice makes zero sense. But this world is scripted with a plethora of ridiculous unconscious beliefs pre-programmed to aid your self-sabotage. Blogging seems difficult at times because the conscious and unconscious minds wage war the moment you do uncomfortable things.

The moment you stop waiting you will experience fears in the mind which had scared you into waiting, prior.

That’s the rub.

Freedom and Expanded Success Await You

Easing past resistance propels you towards worldly freedom and expanded success.

Move into action to get in the blogging game. Stop waiting on the blogging sidelines.

Publish the blog post to increase your organic traffic. Amplify your success. Lay the foundation for a life free from time and location.

Stop waiting.

Start succeeding.

Nobody Else Can Do the Work for You

Bloggers suffer from a nasty little mental block.

Some wait for desiring fellow bloggers to do the work for them.

Yet gaining personal experience is the only way to succeed.

I get pitched opportunities where bloggers clearly want me to do the work for them. Struggling new bloggers want to guest post for me. Why would these individuals do the work to build up their readership? Why would these green newbies gain traction by putting in the work on their blogging real estate? Getting the keys to my loyal readership – allowing me to do most if not all of the blogging work – sounds like a reasonable, flat out easy solution, right?

Imagine if going pro were as easy as:

  • guest blogging for established bloggers with loyal readerships?
  • driving heavy organic traffic and steady blogging income through these readerships via your guest posts?

Unfortunately, it never works that way.

You need to patiently build up your blog following by:

  • putting in the work
  • gaining intimately personal experience

to gain credibility in the eyes of experienced bloggers.

Pros invite credible bloggers with a proven track record to guest blog.

You need to earn it by blogging consistently for a long stretch of time to become:

  • skilled
  • seen
  • trustworthy

Mentally Train Yourself to Act Now

Overcome strong unconscious resistance to taking action

Choose once again.

Do something now to amplify your blogging success.

The world is on “waiting auto-pilot”. Easing into this predominant thought pattern requires one to display mindfulness. First you become mindful of the urge to wait around. Choosing not to wait but to act happens by training your mind to make a different decision.

Logically it makes sense.

Emotionally it feels uncomfortable to act sometimes.

Enter mind training.

Waking up the mind conditions you to leave your comfort zone habitually.

Make this decision to get comfortable with being uncomfortable as a routine.

Success awaits bloggers who develop this mental trait.
