Literally, it is impossible to be plagiarized or impersonated in an abundant world. No shortage exists save in the ego mind. Listening to the intuition reveals that no one can possibly run out of anything….in reality, at least.

Legally, hell yeah it seems possible to be plagiarized or impersonated in a world of scarcity, poverty and fears sitting smack dab in the middle of your mind. Re-read; your mind.

Conquer these fears and you’re golden.

This blog post is a practical guide to conquer each fear.

Many bloggers cling to a fear in their minds: how can I prevent plagiarism or being impersonated by devilish imposters?

The answer is simple but sometimes uncomfortable to execute: blog like no one else has ever blogged so no one can touch you.

In laymen’s terms this means blogging genuinely. Blogging genuinely does not make you special. Being genuine allows your unique talents to shine so the world sees you as one of a kind versus being an imitation copy of someone else.

Most bloggers rarely blog genuinely for the fears of:

  • blogging from your heart not your head
  • rattling a few cages with your writing
  • embracing the fear of being criticized
  • writing in conversational tone versus robotic fashion

Trusting your heart, saying truthful but unpopular things, being skewered verbally and writing how you speak feel uncomfortable in the beginning.

Why?

You and I learn to blog:

  • logically
  • to fit in
  • in order to avoid negative feedback
  • in plain, 3rd person fashion

We’ll fix these errors today to conquer the fears of being plagiarized and impersonated.

  • genuine writing
  • colorful style
  • conversational tone

See what I mean?

I share practical blogging tips in the guide to help you succeed but I make it fun, entertaining and hyper personal. For anyone who buys and reads my eBooks I want ’em to read like two old friends shooting the breeze in front of a fire, chatting, relaxing and getting the blogging basics down cold in a casual environment. I share helpful blogging tips to put into practical use of course. But I do it in a relaxing way to be authentic and to teach blogging in fun, light fashion.

I am no Hemingway. He was the writing master and I am a rough around the edges, personable blogger who wears gym clothes. I also won’t drink myself to death and do not morph into a literary rage monster the envy of The Incredible Hulk so I am very happy NOT to be all aspects of the great American writer.

Anyway, even if bloggers or self-published authors try to push my eBooks off as their own in some way, shape or form, they cannot mimic my:

  • writing style AND
  • name AND
  • likeness AND
  • selling the PDF guides only through Gumroad AND
  • promoting the PDF guides primarily through Blogging From Paradise Dot Com, the blog I own and created

For anyone to pull off a legit plagiarizing or impersonating job to benefit from my name, likeness and content the individual needs to perfectly mimic every step above.

Being genuine and creative as a blogger and self-published author, intelligently owning your blog (investing in a domain and hosting), building a granite-like blogger friend network and sprinting away from the blogging crowd makes me a one-of-a-kind blogger.

This in a world largely composed of blogging copy-cats hellbent on fitting in.

Metaphorically, you chop the legs off of any would be imposter or plagiarizer (or “piratize” them if they go too far) by intelligently building your blogging skills, flexing your imagination muscles and building a strong blogger friend network.

Arrogant?

The phrase “no one can touch you” is far from being arrogant.

Actually, it’s on the positive polar end of the asshole spectrum.

I had to be *practically* humble for a long time before no one could effectively mimic me or Blogging From Paradise.

I humbly helped many bloggers with detailed content, practiced writing like the dickens and served fellow bloggers patiently to build an authentic blogging brand. Owning my blog and deciding to be truly helpful required ample work and many uncomfortable decisions.

You too can make these decisions. Or maybe you already have.

If not, keep these ideas in mind to conquer the fears of being plagiarized and impersonated.

1: No One Can Touch Genuine Bloggers

I once used the phrase “Peter North 8 Roper” in a post.

Please do not Google that term unless you exhibit a more…..ummm…..open-minded approach to alternative forms of entertainment.

For the rest of your human life, you will never come across a blogging tips blogger who peppers such phrases into their blog. I blog creatively. I use metaphors only seen on Blogging From Paradise. If someone tries to copy my words or masquerades as an imposter you instantly know this:

“Only Ryan Biddulph at Blogging From Paradise writes like that.”

No one can touch me, my blog, my brand or my delivery because I:

  • faced deep fears
  • honed my blogging craft over years
  • blog creatively

Face your deep fears, hone your blogging craft over years, blog creatively and no one will touch you or your blog, either.

Be genuine by committing fully to the blogging process. Write diligently to organically carve out your one-of-a-kind voice. Everyone has a different writing gift. Some weave colorful tales. Others write with deep empathy.

Find your voice to migrate beyond the tendrils of dishonest copycats.

2: No One Wants to Plagiarize or Impersonate Aspiring, New or Struggling Bloggers

Please embrace this idea in loving – not pejorative – fashion.

Bloggers afraid to write and publish their first post often fear being plagiarized or impersonated.

I hate to break it to ya’s guys…..but…..no one plagiarizes or impersonates a blogger with:

  • zero traffic
  • zero income
  • no brand
  • no name

How can you steal from someone with nothing to give?

You need to be someone in the blogging world before anyone considers copying and pasting your content or impersonating you.

When 3 people visited my old blog daily no one gave a rat’s ass about Ryan Biddulph the blogger. Bloggers only impersonate or plagiarize to attempt to derive value from fellow bloggers. 3 visitors daily does not scream “value”. I only had to fend off plagiarizers by swinging wildly  with a pickaxe when 4 visitors stopped by BFP daily. Wink. Wink.

If you have not patiently built up a name, brand, traffic or business, rest easy, my friends. You have some work to do UNTIL people want to copy your work or impersonate you.

This goes for new bloggers, struggling veterans and aspiring bloggers who consider buying their domain and hosting.

You’ve a while to go before anyone would even consider snagging your blog content or your name.

3: How Can They Steal Something if No One Reads their Blog?

The 1.4 people who attempted to:

  • plagiarize Blogging From Paradise content
  • plagiarize Blogging From Paradise eBooks on Gumroad
  • become a Ryan Biddulph imposter

are blogging nobodies with no audiences living in cyber nowhere land.

What are these clowns stealing?

When a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to listen, does it make a sound?

Sometimes my well-meaning readers project their fears my way by pointing out RB imposters or plagiarizers. In rare cases I click through for a chuckle to see that no one reads the blogs of these charlatans. No social presence, no comments, no about page, no links and no contact form means that no one sees the plagiarized content or the RB impersonation attempt.

Did it even happen if no one sees it?

What do I care if they appear to take something of mine that nobody sees anyway?

You’re not dealing with Jesse James or Frank Abagnale Jr, guys.

Bloggers who do this have no followings and fade away sooner than later.

Conclusion

Carry on, my blogging friends.

Forgive the joint fears of being plagiarized or impersonated.

Allow your blogging light to shine brightly.
