I saw a political-themed update on social media yesterday.
I see war-themed political updates these days.
Religion?
I see updates about Christianity – specifically Catholicism – and Islam too.
Should you publish these types of posts to your blog or social media?
Yes if you run a:
- political blog
- religion blog
No if you do not run a:
- political blog
- religion blog
As for social media, never publish anything related to politics or religion unless you do so from:
- love
- union
- kindness
- gentleness
- peace
If you are being honest with yourself, how can a political or religious update be about love and union if all politics and religion are inherently based on:
- fear?
- separation?
Democrats are separate from Republicans. Both parties hate and blame each other for problems. Both parties squeal in delight at punishing one another. Never publish updates to your blog or social media stressing separation, fear and punishment in political terms because it makes you look afraid and weak.
Catholics are separate from Muslims. Muslims are separate from Jewish people. Do I even need to get into how the majority of minds clinging to a religion believe there are other minds separate and different? Forget about the fear/hate/judgment/punishment deal.
It is possible to cover politics and religion perceiving everyone out there as your brother in one-ness.
I rarely see these types of updates because fear not love motivates most minds here to follow politics and religion.
Why Is Discussing Politics and Religion a Bad Idea for Bloggers?
Readers want bloggers who exude:
- confidence
- generosity
- peace
- calm
- knowledge
- compassionate leadership
- experience
Discussing controversial topics – like politics and religion – usually reveals a:
- scared
- inward thinking
- mentally chaotic
- mad
- divisive
mind.
Do you seek out terrified, selfish, frenzied, loony blogging mentors? Do you want a blogging guide whose mind is temporarily like that of Caligula doing a week’s worth of whippets? Do you want fear? Do you want chaos? Do you want divisiveness, separation, condemnation and punishment?
Real Time Example
As of this publish date, a war has manifest in the Middle East.
Millions take to social to:
- judge others as evil
- applaud murdering the evil ones
- become enraged over the victim ones
- celebrate the blowing up of bodies
- become infatuated with blood lust
Do you want any of these temporarily mentally injured to be your blogging guide? Would you hire someone who loves murder? Would you buy a product from someone hellbent on dealing out death and judgment?
Everyone here is trying the best they can. Everyone basically listens to an unconscious script almost always dripping in fear, division, separation, guilt and death. Look closely at the world; you will see this is true.
Anyway, even though most are doing the best they can, that does not mean projecting fear, division, guilt, rage and insanity makes you a skilled, capable blogging guide dripping with compassion, empathy, knowledge and a high level of emotional intelligence.
Basically I am saying that it is a horrible look to claim credibility and kindness but to turn around and discuss controversial topics from an intent of fear, condemnation, punishment and rage.
Moving Away from Condemnation and Death
I have moved away from some bloggers hungry for condemnation and death.
Each published one or more controversial updates about the war.
I do not condemn them for doing it. None realizes how each appears to be perceived by a perhaps calmer mind.
But would I seek out blogging or travel advice from someone on the street running a cock fighting ring where roosters ripped each other to shreds? No I would not. Anyone who celebrates war, picks a side, stresses the “importance” of blowing your brother in mind to bits, labeling the evil ones and the good ones, is not a wise, calm, balanced, highly knowledgeable mentor I wish to follow and emulate.
You ARE Terrified
Forget about looking terrified.
You ARE terrified to discuss controversial topics on social media or your blog from rank condemnation.
Claiming to be a confident, capable leader who displays terror is not a good look because it demonstrates:
- weakness
- a low level of emotional intelligence
- a willingness to fan the flames of fear, separation, condemnation and rage to keep the whole shit show going
Do I seek out weak minds to teach me how to be strong-minded?
No way.
Do I blame these individuals for being weak-minded?
No way; it is an unconscious process for them.
Why am I writing this post?
I expand your awareness. Perhaps you seemed utterly unaware of following or discussing controversial topics online. Maybe you thought it was a great idea to share social media updates about politics and religion.
Maybe you considered sharing your stance on:
- war
- abortion
- gun rights
- liberals
- conservatives
- Jewish people
- Muslim people
- Americans
- Israelis
- Iranians
- presidents
and so on and so on……to be highly important, inspiration, uplifting and unifying.
But I hate to break it to you.
Usually these updates do not inspire such a unionizing, high energy, loving intent.
Typically it is like this: “Let’s kill those evil fuckers. Let’s protect ourselves by blowing up our brothers. It is important to point out how my God is better than your God. Your God is evil. My God is holy. We have to kick all these people out of the country because a few murdered our citizens. The people kicking everyone out of the country are ruthless murderers supported by ruthless murderers and pedophiles who eat human flesh. The evil ones are actually heroes; it’s all a witch hunt.”
Would you follow these bloggers closely after reading these insane discussions of social media?
Do you want to emulate murder?
Do you enjoy killing?
Do you enjoy people killing others to protect and defend themselves?
What if all the judgmental minds trumpeting their religion, country and war were all the same? We are one mind. There is only union. There is no difference. There is no separation. That is reality. In an illusion, we appear to be different and quite insane.
None of us save ascended masters are aware of this truth consistently.
But coming across this post reminds you of reality to step away from the illusion fueling most controversies.
As the illusion dissolves in your mind, so does the controversy and any desire to discuss it.
Important Blogging Tip
Handling controversial topics from love and union is possible.
I am not against it outright.
The secret is to see the perspective of the other side from a mind of love and compassion.
However, keep these updates infrequent because even lovingly approached controversial topics tend to attract scared, angry, frenzied minds. Do you want these readers? Heck; in most cases, none of these folks seem interested in your blog itself unless you run a religion or political blog.
Conclusion
I hope to have offered you some clarity on whether or not to chat about controversial topics on your blog and/or social media.
Stay away from it unless done from a spirit of love and unity.
Keep the can of worms closed.
Devote your time and energy to publishing detailed, practical content to solve reader problems.
Stick to your niche.
