Blogging tips litter the web.

Most guidance bandied about by pro bloggers tends to hit the mark.

I myself learn blogging tips from established full-timers on a regular basis.

Learn the best to become the best, right?

But too much robotic stuff gets tossed around.

Blogging mentors usually think like a robot to reach some imagined goal, too.

I am not immune to committing this error.

Sometimes I do stuff mindlessly to:

  • drive organic traffic
  • blogging income

I can get away with it. I have blogged since 2007. Or 2008? I lose track.

Anyway, I wrote for 1000’s of hours for a good 18 to 19 years. I developed the #1 skill all new and seasoned bloggers need to develop to thrive.

I write my ass off.

I write my rear end off on a daily basis. Whether it is 1000 or 10,000 words, I get in the writing reps no matter what.

New bloggers rarely get this advice.

Who tells you straight up that you need to write like crazy to even dream of going pro?

Not many pros stress the importance of practicing your writing, I can assure you.

Peruse New Blogger Guides

Check out many new blogger guides to start successfully.

I understand how buying a domain and hosting, picking one niche and covering that topic inside-out is important.

But few pros stress that writing your ass off is the #1 thing for beginner bloggers to do in terms of practicing.

Stop thinking like a robot. Stop blogging like a robot. Stop window dressing. Cool it with spending a week to find the right theme to buy. Cut it out with spending a month to pick the perfect blogging niche. Never wait on the sidelines.

Write like the dickens.

Practice writing 1000 words daily. Practice writing more if you want to accelerate your blogging success from the beginning. Write more. Practice writing more. Write comments on social media. Write your next blog post. Go offline. Turn off your phone. Write 500-1000 words on any topic. Simply write your ass off to develop the most critical blogging skill.

Sear this idea onto your mind. Drill this idea into your unconscious mind.

Write, write then write some more to position yourself to go pro.

Why Write Your Rear End off as a Beginner Blogger?

Before beginners follow guidance each needs to know: why?

Why would you follow my advice?

Everyone needs a motivator to move their blogging booty into action.

Beginners need a bigger kick in the rump at times. Fear tends to stop newbies in their blogging tracks.

Practicing your writing consistently puts most beginner blogger struggles behind you.

Writing consistently:

  • develops skills
  • establishes credibility
  • boosts exposure
  • instills confidence
  • maintains clarity

Look closely at the bullet points above because each:

  • drives organic traffic
  • generates blogging income
  • forms a loyal blogging community

Anything you wish to get out of blogging originates from becoming a highly skilled, confident, clear writer who gains reader trust. Money? Readers need to trust your writing to buy your stuff, to hire you and to drive referral traffic and referral income for you.

How do you gain reader trust?

Write like crazy.

Practice writing daily. Set an alarm clock.

At the outset, few new bloggers spend hours writing on a daily basis. Most do the non-essential stuff I noted above. Some do nothing. Others do some writing but get back to doing the non-essential stuff for most of the day.

Is it any wonder why new bloggers struggle?

How can you succeed if you do not practice the #1 blogging skill?

Why would readers trust you if you cannot write clearly, confidently and skillfully?

Practice!

Basketball Legend

I am currently in Long Beach California.

I will head back to Los Angeles for the month in a few hours.

We were in LA last week. I saw multiple Kobe Bryant murals in Venice and Venice Beach.

He was the ultimate LA sports icon over the prior few decades.

Why?

He was one of the most skilled basketball players ever. He also won multiple NBA titles.

Why?

He out-practiced all basketball players in the NBA. He did the same as a high school player.

When I was a high school senior in New Jersey, we played and beat Paterson Catholic high school in the state tournament. PC had the #1 high school freshman in America: Tim Thomas. This phenom could dunk violently, handle and pass the ball like a point guard and shoot 3 pointers accurately as a 6-9, 14 year old freshmen. He was insanely skilled. He was one of the most gifted high school players ever. Nobody at that height could do those things as gracefully and athletically up until that point.

Tim Thomas held down the #1 spot – by a long shot – until his senior year until a kid down the New Jersey Turnpike in the Philly area named Kobe Bryant took the top position. Kobe practiced his ass off from his freshmen to senior year to be the best player in the class. He was ranked #200 or so on the list but out-practiced all the players on that list to become an all-time high school great.

He proceed to out-practice everyone in the NBA until becoming the best player in the world and one of the greatest hoopers of all time.

Practice!

Be great.

Put in the repetition few bloggers do.

Write!

What Am I Doing on this Sunny Southern California Afternoon?

I am writing this post, folks.

I will reach 1000 words – or more – by the time I publish the blog post.

I keep writing. I keep practicing. The more I practice I seem to rise up Google for a competitive “blogging tips” keyword.

I do my best to out-practice and out-write all top blogging tips bloggers not because it is a competition but to do the best that I can. I promise you that almost no one really puts in the writing reps save top pro bloggers. Most bloggers only write to publish posts. I see this as a big mistake because bloggers generally post infrequently.

Almost nobody writes offline as a form of practice. Everyone wants to get something out of every stinking word written. Hey; there’s nothing wrong with that. But do not act stunned when pro bloggers who write their asses off lap you like a greyhound smoking crack circling a tortoise smoking weed.
