Google proofing my blog has been one of my wisest blogging decisions.
No matter how the algorithm changes it doesn’t affect Blogging From Paradise traffic because I decided to build strong relationships with human beings who follow me versus trying to get traffic through Google.
Even though I do drive a little bit of Google traffic our community primarily:
- bookmarks my blog and revisits frequently
- follows my blog through social media
- finds my blog through my blog comments
- finds my blog through my guest posts
- finds my blog through bloggers who interview me or feature me for their blogs
- follows my blog through the Blogging From Paradise email list
What happens if Google makes big changes tomorrow?
Almost all Blogging From Paradise readers find me through the above channels.
Even if the Google algorithm undergoes radical changes, my loyal readers find and follow me through channels other than Google so it matters not to me.
Feel free to go for Google traffic. But diversify with other traffic sources to maximize traffic, to optimize blogging profits and to chuckle through the next Google Algorithm Apocalypse that has most bloggers piddling in their pretty pantaloons.
Follow these steps to Google proof your blog.
1: Build an Email List
Build an email list.
Google proof your blog by accessing traffic on demand independent from the Big G.
Email list traffic depends on your email campaign manager, not Google, as far as the literal database source. If Google changes their strategy tomorrow your list remains safe, secure and instant traffic for you.
Publish detailed, targeted content to build a list. Happy readers gladly volunteer their email address.
I email only active subscribers to focus on loyal fans.
I am not interested in convincing lukewarm subscribers to open my emails.
Basically, my mentality is this: you will receive my emails if you open each email to make it worth my while.

Broadcasting live adds a warm, personal touch to your blogging campaign. Facebook users who appreciate seeing your talking head tend to bond with you, bookmark your blog or join your list and become loyal readers.
5: Publish Detailed Content to Drive Organic Traffic through Channels Outside of Google
Detailed blog posts draw significant, highly-targeted blog traffic through channels outside of Google.

Nope.
Do Not Write off Google Traffic
Never write off Google traffic.
High quality, targeted, passive blog traffic makes sense for freedom-seekers. I appreciate the scant Google traffic flowing to BFP because it arrives passively through the channel.
Simply Google proof various aspects of your blog to:
- diversify traffic
- increase income
- stabilize traffic
- boost traffic exponentially
- maintain peace of mind
Bloggers cyber shriek in terror with every algorithm update.
That ain’t the way to live, folks.
Optimize posts for SEO but get serious about bonding with and helping humans through various, dependable, high quality channels outside of Google.
Does Quality Traffic Exist Outside of Google?
Facebook boasts 3 billion users.
Help some of those 3 billion in the right spots and you will quickly discover that quality traffic exists on Facebook.
Twitter has 400 million users.
Help some of those 400 million users in the right spots and you will quickly discover that quality traffic exists on Twitter.
Google ain’t the only game in town, folks.
3.4 billion human beings – some of whom desire what you offer through your blog – use Facebook and Twitter alone to get what they want. Offer what they want through your Facebook profile and Twitter profile; quality traffic will flow to your blog through these networks.
Google traffic is the highest quality traffic source. But it is not the only quality traffic source.
Bond with humans through channels other than Google to thrive with peace of mind.
