Did You Overlook this Aspect of Blogging?

Control.

You own the blog since you paid for the domain and hosting.

You call the shots. You set the rules. You lay the guidelines. You oversee everything. You run the show.

Never underestimate this aspect of owning your blog because it offers you immense peace of mind in a chaotic world of companies lost in their message, diluted as far as branding and a hodgepodge of hundreds to thousands to tens of thousands employees who have no clue in the hell what’s going on with their companies, policies and the like.

No Condemnation

I do not say these things to condemn any employees or the companies they work for.

But when you grow too quickly or without a clear vision focused heavily on being truly helpful for your readers, customers and clients then everything goes to custard sooner than later.

At the very least, when you do not have full creative control and act as the head honcho for your business things become diluted in an unattractive way.

My wife just spent some time on the phone speaking to an individual who worked for a very large company. She had called another representative a few days ago to get the 411 on a specific process she put into motion months ago.

The dude from the other day told her one thing but her intuition told her to call back and ask someone else for guidance. The other individual gave her completely different feedback today which turned out to be truthful versus the other guy who did not know what he was talking about. They made at least three clear  mistakes on their end and it was up to my wife to follow up multiple times to get the correct answer. This is often what happens when control gets divided in all types of segmented directions.

When she tried email she may as well been talking to artificial intelligence. Come to think about it, it probably was AI because it gave a canned response.

At any rate, rather than blame these large organizations I salute the wise bloggers out there who call the shots and exercise full creative control over their blog, brand, online business and overall message to be truly helpful for their targeted readers, and more importantly, to not yank them around by diluting their message or being less than genuine.

At a level of scale, I fully realize that once you begin hiring employees or taking on investors if you ever reach that point that the creative control goes away. You need to trust at that point by choosing partners and employees extremely carefully.

What If?

But what if you never decided to get to that point? What if you became so mind numbingly prolific, clear and driven that you experienced stunning worldly success while maintaining full peace of mind since you had complete control of your blog, its narrative and your overall brand?

The only reason why I say it can be done, not because I have achieved this so far, is because a guy like me with a genuine friend network has generated a little south of 100,000 backlinks at my peak.

That ain’t bad for a dude who sits around in gym clothes all day long.

Do you want to know the best part about my strategy?

Blogging From Paradise Dot Com will never offer an experience like my wife just had with a large company.

Big business only appears to suck because as the bottom line reaches a tipping point and becomes more important than being truly helpful then customer service, quality control and the overall user experience suffers, dwindles and tends to become highly frustrating for more and more people.

Again, I fully understand the concept of building a company, yet if you really hustle your ass off and be incredibly helpful for a highly targeted reader you’ll start experiencing success but keep full peace of mind along with a clear conscience in knowing that your readers are the priority and your message never gets diluted.

This overlooked aspect of blogging has not entered the minds of most who do not fully understand the immense power of having full peace of mind regarding your blogging business.

Most experience mental chaos by trying to get stuff from people, manipulating them, publishing less than authentic content and some even scaling far too quickly which leads to experiences like my wife just had earlier today.

Beware the Can of Worms

Perhaps these individuals do experience some incredible worldly success but with the whole can of worms which comes from a disjointed online business which doesn’t ring true through every single thing it does due to a lack of absolute oversight.

I have been called picky, stubborn or obstinate by some but it’s only because I have a vision and most people get slapped around by circumstances.

I don’t blame them for that or applaud myself. But I did have the mental discipline to make the blanket decision of exercising complete control over everything I do on Blogging From Paradise Dot Com.

I cannot stress how clear my conscious feels since I run the show here and never allow anybody else to ruin my message…..here. Each is free to say as they wish about me on any site that I do not own. Part of life, folks.

I could care less about reputation management because I’m not insane enough to believe that I can control how people think about me. Unless you’re a wizard you simply cannot do that.

No parent can control their kid’s thoughts, feelings and actions across the board. Do you really think you can do that with an adult?

I can certainly remain true to me and all I do. This gives me peace of mind.

I own this site and make the rules. What I say goes here. I do not relish trashing spam comments, deleting those looking for a fight or thwarting any mentally injured person who engages in such activities.

But I feel good to know that they will never get any shine here because this makes my blog an uplifting, truly helpful environment for aspiring to veteran bloggers.

I run the show here how I see fit and feel grateful that nobody else controls the narrative on my site.

I do respect and use social media, guest blogging and genuine blog commenting to be truly helpful yet understand that other human beings own those sites.

This is why I have recently rededicated myself to publishing a higher volume of detailed content here and to promote this content aggressively through many different channels.

I control here and will always control it, at least through next year because I’ve paid my domain and hosting through that point.

Working off site plays some role in succeeding but take care of home base first.

Never Look Past this Peace of Mind

Never overlook the peace of mind that comes with having full creative control over your WordPress Dot Org blog.

At the end of the day, some people may not be happy with how I run things here but since I have a clear conscience and know that I run the show on this blog it doesn’t bother me one bit.

I am not deeply invested in what people think of me because I am what I am and blog based on my authentic, heartfelt experience.

My only job is to shoot from the hip and help you with the most truthful, honest blogging tips even if it rubs you the wrong way at times because your ego simply does not want you to succeed and be happy and tries to whisper sweet nasties in your ear.

I will simply carry on with peace of mind in knowing that I’m doing things genuinely because I’m the shot caller here.

Invest in Your Domain and Hosting

If you have been on the fence, get serious about buying your domain and hosting and starting on WordPress Dot Org immediately instead of using a free platform and losing all creative control.

Never build your entire online business on the quicksand known as social media.

Never rely solely on guest blogging and/or genuine blog commenting because other bloggers own those blogs, set the rules, turn down guest posts and based on their spam filters they may never see your comments.

Take care of home base by owning your blog.

Take control and establish peace of mind.
