Google Induced Anxiety.
Most bloggers suffer from it. AI rankings on page 1 irritates bloggers. Algorithm updates scare bloggers.
I queried the most popular keyword in my niche a few moments ago. No less than 5 sponsored results popped up on page 1 of Google. Where? Why across the top 2 positions – of course – and Google peppered in 3 more updates along the bottom of page 1. Back where I come from, they call this “getting ya coming and going”.
But jokes aside, seeing this development terrifies some bloggers.
Why?
Most bloggers:
- devalue their blogs
- over value Google
- make Google the source of traffic and income
- make their blog a channel pointing to Google
Even though following this mental process makes no sense it clearly plagues any blogger who airs grievances about Google.
Blogging From Paradise readers know that I made my blog the source and never bowed to Google because I own my blog. Google is just one of many channels pointing to my blog ONLY BECAUSE I TOOK THIS ATTITUDE 12 YEARS AGO!
Few are the bloggers who:
- understand
- embody
- experience
the CAPS LOCK text above.
You need blogging balls to blog with posture BEFORE doing the patient, mindful, consistent onsite work that eventually points 5, 10 or 20 traffic channels to your blog. Displaying posture for years before succeeding – while you patiently publish detailed content – is how to wean yourself entirely off of Google. Google induced anxiety dissolves as the weaning process unfolds.
Messed Up Unconscious Mind
Our unconscious minds are totally fucked up. This is why I publish posts like the one you read right now.
Unconscious fear victimizes us. So instead of making your blog the source now and putting in years of work to drive 5, 10 or 20 traffic channels to your blog, most continue the unconscious cycle of blaming Google, backburnering their blog then eventually quitting blogging.
You have a mind.
You are not a mindless robot.
Choose once again.
Think once again.
Prioritize Your Blog
Make your blog the source of organic traffic and income.
Publish detailed blog posts consistently to:
- gain trust
- drive organic traffic
Frame:
- X
- Threads
- BlueSky
- Feedly
- your email list
- Quora
as potential traffic channels pointing readers to your blog.
Feel free to work 3-5 channels from the above list.
Allow the other channels to manifest organically.
For example, some of my readers link to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com as a trusted resource on Reddit even though I touched the site for 1 day over the past 3 years. This is the power of publishing truly helpful blog content. Loyal readers happily drive referral traffic through sources you barely work or know not of. This is another reason why prioritizing your blog over traffic channels is important.
I published targeted blog posts consistently to reach that point. First you consistently build your blog. Loyal readers progressively link to it through multiple channels. Develop posture. Run everything to and through your blog. Become prolific. Turn your blog into an industry resource. Prioritize your online real estate.
What About Google?
Google is a dependable traffic source…..until it is not.
The Big G gave AI precedence a while back. Making this decision automatically turned Google into a less dependable traffic source.
You will get burned eventually by prioritizing what you do not own.
You will always win by prioritizing what you own.
Do you think Google became Google by making Facebook, X or individual blogs their prime focus?
Hell no.
Google – like all massive companies – makes Google A1.
Learn from Google.
Make your blog A1.
All roads should lead to your blog.
Work your blog diligently.
Work traffic channels from a secondary perspective.
Never make Google the source of traffic and income because you have zero power, control or influence over there.
Why?
You do not pay the domain and hosting bills at Google.
None of use influences the algorithm.
Not one of us sets policy at Google.
We’re just users. Users just use. Owners dictate the rules, regulations and direction of the company. Owners can and do listen to user feedback at times. But profits always take precedence over people. This is no mystery to those willing to look. Corporations need to make money for shareholders at the end of the day. This is why user feedback only goes so far. Users may want something but owners need to make money for shareholders or else the board looks for new owners, sooner than later.
I never fooled myself into believing that Google prioritizes bloggers. I simply observed how the algorithm served Google first then users second. Bloggers come in a distant third.
Do you doubt my claim?
Do you believe that bloggers and users thirst to see 5 sponsored results on page 1 for the most competitive blogging keyword? Do you think that bloggers and users desire seeing multiple AI-spawned results on page 1 for the identical keyword? My content is more truly helpful for bloggers than sponsored content or AI generated fodder. I base that on reader feedback not an opinion of self.
Google is in the business of maximizing profits. AI and sponsored content maximizes profits over sending users to Blogging From Paradise Dot Com. I do not pay to play; Google will never get money out of me. I cannot whip up a heavy volume of generic, shit content in a split second as AI can.
Grievances aside, Google is free to do what it does. I never thought it made sense to base my traffic and income on an entity fully concerned with its own traffic and income, first and foremost. But that is just me.
Be the CEO of Your Blog
I invested many years of my life being the CEO of my blog. I treated Blogging From Paradise Dot Com as the center of my business operations.
I took that attitude as I diligently published a collection of helpful blog posts over the years to eventually drive traffic from multiple sources.
If Google disappeared tomorrow I could care less. But only because I displayed immense blogging posture since 2014 while most bloggers mistakenly idolized Google. You experience peace of mind in this world by blogging with posture.
Conclusion
Dissolve Google induced anxiety.

Frame Google as one of many traffic channels.
Publish targeted, practical blog posts consistently.
