Powerful bloggers seem rare because few train their minds to embody this truth:

Lasting, ever-increasing blogging success is organic. Organic blogging success only occurs through your generosity, patience and persistence in doing simple things.

Emotionally, I am still learning this lesson. But I strongly resisted the full-depth of this truth for well over 14 years into my blogging career. I mean it.

I had been generous, patient and persistent but did not deeply understand how lasting, ever-increasing, exponential blogging growth relied on being incredibly generous, incredibly patient and incredibly persistent in doing simple things.

Gary Vaynerchuk made a point recently that drills this concept home. He made $150,000 per year in building his dad’s wine business to $60 million in sales. Less generous, patient, persistent entrepreneurs would have demanded millions in salary, stormed out, quit and disappeared from the business world, or perhaps, would have started a different business to make a few millions and impact some folks.

Gary Vee generously, patiently and persistently has:

  • helped a large chunk of humanity
  • amassed a $200 million net worth

as he continues to experience lasting, ever-expanding, exponential business growth by doing simple things daily for 15 or 20 years, or however long his career has been.

He vividly explained how he engaged people on sites like Twitter for 1000’s of hours before making a penny through social. This is how powerful entrepreneurs think, feel and act. Meanwhile, struggling entrepreneurs quit Twitter after 3 months’ worth of 5 hour social media days due to their stingy nature, lack of persistence and impatience.

Why is Gary Vee powerful? He worked for free for years. Why do most bloggers struggle? They are too afraid to work for free for 2 weeks!!!

Train your mind to the point of not having to remind yourself to work for free. At this point, generosity, patience and persistence unfold organically in your being. From there, blogging success flows to you slowly, steadily and organically.

Why Do Bloggers Fail?

Fear in the mind of bloggers scares them into trying to force inorganic blogging success. Failure follows.

Inorganic Blogging Success Methods

  • spamming
  • blindly pitching influencers without building relationships
  • publishing on multiple topics to try to max out blog traffic
  • publishing a high volume of thin content daily

Attempting to force success inorganically is trying to will traffic and money to flow to you as quickly as possible by manipulating people with things. Failure follows 100% of the time because fear in your mind leads to failure in the outside world. People avoid scared, powerless bloggers. People flock to loving, generous, patient and persistent, powerful bloggers.

Train Your Mind

A few rare bloggers dive into the online game with a strong, clear mind.

However, almost all new bloggers need to train their minds to be generous, patient, persistent and trusting in organic growth.

Working for free for 1000’s of hours through creating and connecting is impossible if fear sits in your mind. This is why bloggers cannot work for free for a week, month or year; fear in their minds scares them into quitting.

Go back into your mind. Face your fears concerning poverty. Step into fears fueling your scarcity mindset. Learn how to be generous in a world of selfishness, stinginess and attachment to outcomes. Learn how to be patient in a chaotic, impatient world. Learn how to be persistent in a world of hopeless quitters. Trust in the concept of slow, steady, organic growth in a world of people who trade much of their lives for a paycheck in order to avoid facing their deepest fears.

The world is so filled with fear and tries to force inorganic success so quickly that it trades 40 hours for 40 years for a payday every 7 days. Shifting from that frenzied mindset toward the powerful Gary Vee mindset will be highly uncomfortable at times but isn’t freedom worth it?

Gary Vee is certainly a titan online. He stuck with his business model when he first got started and it’s amazing to see how he used online principles to grow a wine business to $60 million in sales. That’s more than some people make in 10 life times. I think slow growth is looked upon as “bad”, but i’ve realized that slow and steady wins the race. I’d rather go slow and steady, than back to a day job.

Lovely post. Great to see GaryVee here too. I’ve always looked up to his advice, and while people may call him a charlatan, they need to differentiate between people selling snake oil for money, and those who actually live by what they say. Great stuff here. Thanks for sharing!
