Vishwajeet Kumar formats his blog posts skillfully.
He helps you see; easy to scan, properly formatted blog posts draw in eager eyes.
But you may write off blog formatting. I did. For years. Whether writing run on sentences, or run on paragraphs, or avoiding bullet points and italics and all forms of contrast, I did a shit job gussying up blog posts. Paid the price, I did. Folks avoided my blog like the plague because it warnt easy on de eyes.
How to Format a Blog Post
I eventually accepted this fact; the most eye-popping, enchanting, helpful, influential content on earth won’t impact people if you dress it up poorly. This is like trying to dress the prom queen in a burlap sack used as toilet paper for 45,000 water buffaloes; no matter how purdy the queen is, if you clothe her in a drab and doody-filled sack, you ain’t winning no contests. Meaning beauty contests. Perhaps water buffalo doody contests are attainable….but I digress.
I learned a while back that using short, punchy paragraphs, crisp and concise sentences and ample contrast through bullet point lists, bold fonts and italicized fonts keeps readers glued to content.
Properly formatted blog posts keep folks around. Poorly formatted blog posts send folks running for the cyber hills.
I explain in the video.
