Every blogger suffers through discouragement sometimes.

Humans experience a wide range of emotions during the blogging journey. Even pros feel frustrated because everyone feels fear sometimes.

But professional bloggers learn how to process discouragement during amateur days to become pro bloggers. No one goes pro by giving up the moment frustration sets in. I feel agitation set in here and there after blogging for years. Learning how to wade through discouragement like a hot knife through butter gave me momentum to blog forward.

Hold one idea in mind to conquer frustrated emotions.

Discouragement is fear.

You feel discouraged because you feel afraid you get not enough traffic and/or money through your blog. Feel the fear. Release the discouragement. Feel better. Blog from a dominant vibe of love, generosity, trust and appreciation. Feeling discouraged alerts you to some fear you need face, FEEL and release. Releasing the fear removes discouraged emotions, so you feel good again.

I find that blogging mainly for fun – not finances – both helps me avoid discouraged feelings and increases my profits. How? How can I get discouraged if the only source of discouragement is something I do not care much about? I blog mainly to have fun blogging. Money and traffic feel like extras, bonuses or icing on the cake. The only reason I would feel discouraged would be because I feared I was not making enough money or getting enough traffic. But if both felt like a bonus, or, something extra, I do not feel discouraged about an extra, bonus, or something I care not about. This level of detachment is perfect for boosting profits, too. When you get lost in the process of helping folks and take no discouragement detours, your increased skills and exposure leads to blogging profits.

Blog your love. When the blogging rubber hits the road, blogging discouragement is just fear, and you need feel the fear to release it. Feel it. Release it. Besides; only 2 emotions exist in the Universe. Love and fear. If you feel the fear, and release it, you return to Love. Love is peace, calm, generosity, abundance, service and trust. You cannot feel discouraged vibing from Love, because discouraged is fueled by fear, and you cannot experience Love and fear simultaneously.

Be with those frustrated feelings, no matter how damaging the emotions feel. No one loves feeling like their zero profits after 4 months of diligent blogging is NOT a waste of time. Most bloggers feel such a scenario wasted 4 months of their lives. But this is why you need to blog mainly to enjoy helping people, to be lost in other folks and to trust fully in yourself and in the blogging process. No one feels discouraged and deflated trusting in self and in the blogging process because no panic or frustration or deflation sets in, observing numbers on a screen. Feel fears triggered by observing numbers on a screen. Means nothing, save a projection by your mind. Release the fear. Move on from an abundant, relaxed, generous, trusting energy.

Get so busy helping people that you forgot what it feels like to be discouraged. This is a recipe for stunningly successful blogging because top earners are generous servants never or rarely get swayed by traffic and profits numbers. Everybody else tends to struggle horribly for a while, placing meaning to numbers on a screen, said numbers triggering fears of NOT ENOUGH and I AM WASTING MY TIME and other fears you need to face, feel and let go, to reach the next level of your blogging career, and to put blogging discouragement in your rear view mirror, for good.

Be in the moment. Sit with fears feeding your discouraged feelings. You are in the perfect place, at the perfect time. You need to face and feel discouraged feelings now to better serve people and to succeed down the road. All established, pro bloggers learn how to deal with the minefield of emotions arising during this colorful, sometimes wild, fascinating blogging journey. Feel fears fueling discouragement and everything begins to level out from a relaxed, peaceful, stable, generous, trusting vibe.

You cannot get discouraged if you feel the fears fueling discouragement. Impossible. Feel ’em, clear ’em, and discouragement dissolves into abundance, detachment, having fun on your blogging ride, trust and appreciation.

Blogging Proceeds Inside-Out

Picture your blogging career being a reflection of your mind. What you seem to experience begins in your mind. First, mind. Then, outer experience. Beware projecting problems to Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or your list. Frustrated emotions begin solely in your mind. Do not blame a thing for your mental state. Own fear to clear the inner world. Let go discouragement from the inside-out for a more seamless blogging campaign.

Discouragement suggests fear in your mind reflects the appearance of discouraging conditions. Face, feel and release the fear to dissolve frustration. Dissolving discouragement may lead to a few practical actions for stimulating blogging inspiration.

Tips for Feeling Inspired to Blog

  • train your mind daily; devote at least 20-30 minutes to meditating or other mindset training ritual
  • befriend uplifting bloggers who help to inspire you
  • trust your blogging gut over a purely logical blogging campaign
  • blog mainly for fun and freedom versus choosing money or popularity drivers
  • invest in blogging resources to blog the right way

Feeling discouraged here and there is a normal part of blogging. Do not single yourself out for feeling frustrated. Falsely believing that feeling frustrated is wrong, rare or a mistake only compounds bad feelings. Forgive your humanity. Allow yourself to feel despair. Be with your fears. Gently, gradually and patiently transition to feeling inspired, enthused and energized to blog, again.

I think starting out is the hardest part. You just have to put the next step after the other. That’s the only way to get things done. Thanks for the share.

Hi Ryan, you are right Discouragement is fear and all is in the mind. Also, I always feel that we need to look at the law of nature.
If we put a seed, we can not expect that it brings fruit the next day, everything has a gestation time. It needs patience and loving care to be able to harvest.
If we get discouraged, want to see if the seed grows, and dig, we may disrupt the growing roots and it will take longer or even not grow anymore.
Good to train the mind to look at things from different perspectives.
Thank you for your helpful insights

      Hi Erika,

I love your analogy. People see this growing season in effect in nature. Reframing blogging in similar fashion helps to dissolve discouragement. Thanks for sharing 🙂
