A little over a decade ago I began dreaming about circling the globe as a professional blogger.

Visions of Bali danced in my head. I pictured myself blogging from Phuket. Happiness exuded from my being in one moment……

….but fears in my mind fought the dreams. I saw potential and loads of problems. Peace of mind seemed in reach but inevitable chaos seemed part of the traveling package deal, too.

The ego warned me:

  • you cannot travel the world because you do not have enough money saved up
  • you cannot get good internet connections for working as you circle the globe
  • why bother traveling and blogging because no one will follow your blog anyway, right?

The ego and its fears literally tried its best to talk me out of my blogging dreams. But I sat with my fears to clear these shackles. I heard the small, whiny voice telling me what I could not do until the voice faded away. 10 years later, I am still traveling the world as a globe-trotting blogger. But I only followed my blogging dreams because I stopped fighting the dreams. Deciding to:

  • face fear
  • feel fear
  • release fear

allowed me to BE the blogger whose blogging dreams came true.

How quickly do you fight your blogging dreams? Do you talk yourself out of any dream you envision for yourself? The ego tries all the dirty tricks in the ebook to convince you not to follow your dreams. Perhaps you fear not having enough:

to chase your blogging dreams. Don’t worry. I sat in the same boat 10 years ago before circling the globe. I did not allow any of those excuses to keep me bound. I simply faced my fears and followed my dreams to gain all things and to connect with all people necessary to allow me to circle the globe as a full time digital nomad.

How it works:

  • dream big dreams
  • face the fight created by ego fears
  • feel uncomfortable emotions
  • proceed to blog toward your dreams
  • live your dreams

Blogging like life is 100% about increasing your emotional intelligence because all thoughts you think, feelings you feel and actions you take begin and end in your mind. Strengthen your mind to make a beeline for your dream life.

Mind-strengthening resources:

Strengthen your mind to feel fears creating the fight. Ego creates fears engineering the odd scenario of fighting your blogging dreams. Ego creates excuses dripping with fear. Empowering your mind exposes fears in mind to be felt and released in order to journey toward your dream life. Logically, anyone easily understands this simple truth. Emotionally, feeling uncomfortable fears feels bad until you strengthen your mind.

Clearing your inner world of imagined hurdles (all obstacles are in the mind because your life experience is your mind experience) makes it easier and easier to follow your dreams. Feeling ease gives you a clearer vision of your dream life. As the vision clears you emotionally taste the image of your dream life through blogging. From there, living your dream becomes as inevitable as the sun rising and setting because the same force fuels the cosmos and your dream life.

A very thought provoking post. I could have talked myself out of being a blogger, so like so many other ideas I’ve had but didn’t follow through on. But with my blogging idea I acted before I had chance to talk myself out if it.

Nowadays my fears about blogging are less about the content I create, but more about not getting noticed enough in a saturated community. Plus, my keyword game could do with being stronger
