I wanted to give you a quick update of where we are at now.
Kelli and I have officially settled in to our Summerville, South Carolina house sit. Watching 2 little dogs has been an easy gig allowing us to enjoy time hiking and visiting local attractions.

One such attraction is the Magnolia Gardens and Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina.
I originally visited this spot back in 1987 on a family vacation. Magnolia Plantation is the oldest garden in the United States and one of the older plantations in the Deep South.

A vibrant mix of colors teases your senses on driving in to the place. Spanish moss draped over trees like comforting blankets adds a sense of charm to the gardens.
Kelli and I spent 2 hours lazing around this historic site on the outskirts of Charleston.
Astute 80’s sci-fi fans may note that Magnolia Gardens served as one of the filming locations for the classic Wes Craven flick Swamp Thing.

We also completed our cardio for the day by hiking the nature trail, spotting 3 alligators and various water fowl.
