It’s funny, I got to your blog from 1) reading about swipe files on enchanting marketing who mentioned plugmatter, 2) I found an interview from you that you did for them a year ago, 3)and from that post landed here.

I bought your book (a first for me) because I’ve seen you literally everywhere this past month – guest blogging. I want to know what you know.

    Thanks, Ryan.

  16. BG Jenkins Says:

    Hi Ryan,

Great tips. I especially like the one about writing a thousand words a day, and I’m the first to confess, I have not done that on a daily basis… but I will start practicing that premise. I agree with your theory that if you want to be a writer, you have to write like crazy and develop your style and clarity. Thanks again!

  17. Woohoo! Thanks for buying and reading Gnaneshwar!

  19. Susan you are doing a fab job. Really, I see you all over with commenting. Any post I comment on you are almost always there, especially on top blogging blogs. Good attitude you have on rejection. I see it as 2 parties not being matches. Nothing more. Thanks for the comment!

    Ryan

  20. Susan Velez Says:

    Hi Ryan,

When you talk, especially about guest posting or commenting, I sit up and listen. I know that you do a lot of guest posting, and I’ve been working on reaching out more.

While I haven’t really guest posted on a lot of top blogs, this doesn’t stop me from reaching out to other bloggers for opportunities. Especially, if their blog is bigger than mine.

I have just landed another guest posting opportunity, that will be published in June. It’s not a top blog, but it is bigger than mine ๐Ÿ™‚

Eventually, with practice I’ll reach out to the bigger blogs. Right now, as long as I can get some guest posts approved on bigger blogs, I am happy.

Great tips and I agree that you can’t take rejection to heart. I’ve been rejected or ignored several times. However, I don’t let that stop me from continuing to reach out.

Whenever I get discouraged about being rejected, I just remember my “why” I am working towards financial freedom. This always gives me the confidence to keep reaching out.

    Have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚

    Susan

  25. Hi Ben,

Yessir ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have been writing and landing 10 to 30 guest posts weekly. I dove in hard core about 1 month ago. It works super duper well for expanding your presence.

    Thank you!

    Ryan

  26. Ben Sibley Says:

How often do you guest blog? Are you still promoting BFP with this tactic?

    Thanks!

  27. Hi Devin,

Funny you say that ๐Ÿ˜‰ I gave away the farm on old podcasts. Listed out the info. Listens dropped off. But when I did a quick intro but gave the info out only through the podcast the listens rose a bunch. Thanks for commenting!

    Ryan

  28. Devin Bisanz Says:

  30. Hi Ryan,
I’ll bet by now you are thinking I’m stalking you. I’m not, just learning so much from you.

Thanks so much for the practical and useful tips on how you do what you do best.

Have a great time in NYC.

  31. Hi Ryan,
Always encourage people to comment on other blogs. I’ve never seen anyone like you, thank you. You seem to be a very special person.
I do not like podcast, but yours are lovely, it gives pleasure to listen, they are short and conveys the message very well.
I like your tips, I will do this if the comment is rejected. Better to try than do nothing, and let’s practice.
It has been a much more rewarding online trip since I have been keeping in touch and commenting on your blog.
    Thanks again.

  32. Philip thanks a bunch. Yes that’s my style ๐Ÿ˜‰
